On the doorstep of the bustling Borough Market, the first Casa do Frango lies within a converted 19th-century industrial warehouse, a building full of character, complete with vaulted ceilings, arched windows and relics of the past.

Casa’s menu is inspired by the rich culinary history of Portugal and the wider Mediterranean. True to Portuguese tradition, there is an emphasis on cooking over a wood-charcoal grill. The restaurant has become known for piri-piri chicken, with perfectly caramelised skin and a deep flavour which comes from a brush of Casa’s secret piri-piri blend. The menu offers so much more, with small and large plates all designed to share. Everything at Casa is made fresh in-house, using top quality, locally sourced ingredients. The food is complemented with an all-Portuguese wine list, cocktails, mocktails and Super Bock beer on draught.

At Casa London Bridge there is also a speakeasy cocktail bar called the Green Room, perfect for pre and post dinner cocktails…

Friendly, welcoming staff from start to finish of our meal. Atmospheric lighting and a buzzy ambience. Love the dark green, candle-lit cocktail bar at the back of the restaurant. Every single dish, especially the peri peri chicken was delicious. Now this will definitely be on my go-to list for the London Bridge area!

A very tasty and filling meal and efficient and friendly service. All told a thoroughly recommendable visit to this Portuguese restaurant. They do an excellent piri piri chicken. I wasn't so sold on their pastel de natal and sangria wasn't the best, but we'd definitely go back here. Good and friendly service. topped off the experience

The food is overhyped on social media! The chicken was far too charred and the accompanying sauce didn’t have much flavour - tasted like puréed tomato, onions, pepper and garlic without enough seasoning to taste. The service was great and staff are very friendly. Overall the experience was fine, but it isn’t somewhere I’ll be rushing back to anytime soon.

We loved the speakeasy beforehand. All the dishes we chose were excellent but I would have liked more synchronicity - all the starchy stuff came at the end when we had finished the meat/fish dishes.

The food was good, good variety and reasonably priced. Had a selection of vino Verde which were all fab.

I ate downstairs for the first time. I don't know whether it is a different kitchen, but the chicken was not on point for the first time ever. Largely devoid of seasoning. There was also an ever so slightly disturbing taste to it. Chips were lukewarm and soggy. Very disappointing. Sauce is still amazing. Service was good and ambience great. Still recommend the place, as exceptional value for money & I honestly believe that was a one-off. Maybe a new cook for the day or something.
