Caruso’s Grocery is modeled after the classic, Italian-American "red sauce" joint. You know the one: red banquettes, a killer chicken parmesan, Sinatra pouring through the speakers. If you’re looking for modern interpretations of a chef's take on the classics, you won’t find them here.

Our favorite Italian spot in DC. Been looking forward to for months and somehow exceeded expectations. Drinks were great, Food was remarkable all the way from appetizers through dessert. Highly recommend the meatballs, Caesar, gnocchi, and penne alla vodka. Cheesecake and cannolis are to die for. Plus, the service is phenomenal. Manager was awesome. She was able to move us from the bar to the main dining area, table was ready on time, and our waitress was spectacular. 10/10 all around.

Our server was absolutely wonderful and made our Valentine's Day so enjoyable. The drinks, food, and ambiance was perfect.

One of the best restaurants in DC. Great food, perfect portions, good wine list, and great pacing of the meal. The calamari is fresh and flavorful. We split a Caesar Salad, and it came out on two separate plates, which was nice. I got the Chicken Parmesan, and my wife got a Seafood pasta dish. We both loved our entrees. We ended with an Oreo Cheesecake that was also delicious! The server didn't make eye contact with me at all, only my wife which was weird. Other than that it was an amazing experience!

Great food and drinks!! We had a great server and extra of the fancy bread when they ran out of their regular bread. Don’t skip out on the desserts either!

Classic Italian American fare, prepared and presented well. There were three of us, our table was ready immediately. We had the espresso martini, which was very much enjoyed by two of us, and the blood orange margarita, which was even better. The calamari were perfectly lightly breaded and crisp, the chicken parm was pounded nicely thin, spaghetti side was al dente and sauce was not watery at all. The fusilli special was delicious. Split a tiramisu among 3 people for dessert, it was outstanding. We will be back when we have a craving for Italian American!

Absolutely loved the Carusos Alfredo and Spicy Neapolitan Ragu! Carusos also has the best espresso martini, tasted so good while being strong. We ended with the tiramsu and it was incredible!!
