Specializing in creative American cuisine and thoughtfully crafted cocktails, Carson Kitchen sits in the heart of Salt Lake’s downtown dining scene. Carson Kitchen is built on a philosophy of reimagined comfort food prepared with approachable fine-dining ingredients.

The restaurant concept originated in 2014, opening in the historic Fremont East district of Downtown Las Vegas, a partnership between chef and restaurateur Cory Harwell and his dear friend, the late Chef Kerry Simon. Designed to bring a carefully curated experience to our country’s unique & vibrant neighborhoods, Carson Kitchen features a contemporary bar, open kitchen expo counter, and community tables in an industrial yet inviting architecture.

    The noise was unbearable - it was so load I could not hear a word my guests were saying. Food was mediocre. My cuban sandwich was inedible.

    What a great establishment on the middle of the downtown Salt Lake City. We love Carson Kitchen and have been enjoying their food for a while now, but in Las Vegas. We have been pleasantly surprised with the same experience we had at Salt Lake City with food, cocktails and service. With that said we were so sad to see this place empty. We love Carson Kitchen and wish them all the best!

    We were seated promptly and our waiter Mario provided excellent service. We shared the beet salad, oxtail risotto, and killer shrimp and all were delicious and perfectly prepared.

    Is an experience of taste and the sharing policy/recommendation is also very well appreciated. Staff was very gentle and open to suggestions, we enjoyed the time and would go back again !!

    I would return. Great menu, highlighted by the short rib steak. Well-seasoned and really cooked with a perfect char but med rare on the inside. I think it is a must order. That along with the 2 desserts (bread pudding and bourbon chocolate bacon concoction) and the oxtail risotto were first class. The amarillo pepper sauce shrimp was a close runner-up. A slight creamy heat and a generous amount of shrimp for the price. As was the mushroom flatbread. A slight ding for the rye cocktail which would have benefitted from a big cube, by the time it got to table was watered down. Wine list is uninspiring but not expensive. Had a decent syrah. Service was great. Staff was friendly. Prices very reasonable for the quality.

    Everything was good cocktails were great. There was a Pleasant unexpected twist on each dish. Would certainly go again

    The food was hit or miss. Several of the dishes were ok, some had a funky flavor, but none of it was worth the price.

    We've dined here prior but in the evening when it was much busier. We stopped in for lunch and only a few tables were occupied. The food, which we've enjoyed previously, seemed more like reheated leftovers and the salads seemed less than fresh. Unsure if we will return.
