The award winning Carriages restaurant is uniquely located within the allpay ltd campus in Whitestone Business Park, Hereford, and has been described as "City chic in rural Hereford".

Carriages was inspired by founder Tony Killeen's passion for trains and the quirky setting of the restaurant, which overlooks the old Whitestone railway station.

You can enjoy views of the rolling hills from the floor to ceiling windows in the top floor restaurant; dine inside or alfresco, on the spacious balcony, or walk the landscaped grounds surrounding the Four Seasons lake - which transforms into a maze of secret gardens, impressively lit up at night.

Carriages is open Friday and Saturday evenings.

Due to the nature of the restaurant, any children dining must be over 12 years old and accompanied by an adult.

Carriages offers a dining experience that effortlessly combines exceptional cuisine, stunning presentation, and impeccable service from the team especially the twin brothers who served our table of four. We were celebrating a birthday and we were offered a complimentary prosecco and amuse-bouche on arrival. We were also given a complimentary minibus journey home. Fantastic evening.

The food was very tasty but not much of it.. The lobster starter was very skimpy and more vegetables were required with the main course. The surroundings were very nice and the waiters were very attentive. I did feel it was overpriced.

We recently moved to Hereford and was hoping to find a restaurant that offered high quality food and drink. We booked the '7 course set menu evening with wine flight of Pol Roger'. The staff were absolutely fantastic, informative and accommodating. The food was sublime, my favorite being the tempura halibut course, but all the food was so delicious. This was our first visit but I envisage many more to come in the very near future. Would highly recommend. Thanks to all who made our evening so wonderful.

Great fine dining experience. Incongruous setting but once there, restaurant overlooks small lake and trees, and restaurant itself is open and airy, plenty of room around the tables and classy decor. Friendly staff and sommelier with an interesting and varied menu. Don’t expect large pub style portions, this is fine dining with beautifully presented dishes. Great flavours, all three courses ( as well as the bread to start ) were excellent, a truly memorable desert to finish. Will definitely return.

A lovely evening with wonderful service. Our waiter a lad from Ukraine was absolutely wonderful polite courteous at all times. The sommelier was also very informative about each wine. Although we appreciate fine dining is quality not quantity, we felt a little more food on the main course would have been beneficial to both of us.

We had another wonderful evening at Carriages restaurant who have, during several visits never put a foot wrong! On arrival the grounds looked fabulous and we were greeted by the concierge who showed us to the restaurant. We were lucky enough to have a table overlooking the beautiful gardens and once ordered, our food and wine were outstandingl The pairing of sherry with the dark chocolate and date dessert was magnificent and we would highly recommend trying it. Once again we had the complimentary transport home by the same friendly, courteous and extremely safe driver. We are very much looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

When we approached the car park and it was raining the concierge was already heading over with umbrella's, the service, food, staff and atmosphere was perfect. We look forward to going back. :)
