Under the direction of Chef Greg Murphy, the Carriage House Dining Room is known island-wide for its fine classic American cuisine. Local seafood selections such as Carriage House whitefish from Lake Superior and prime steaks from a Detroit family butcher are paired with fresh salads, soups and desserts topped with signature Iroquois Hot Fudge.

Directly overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, guests enjoy flawless service in our glass-enclosed dining room or on one of our breezy outdoor waterfront verandas. The restaurant features an extensive wine list, full bar and nightly entertainment at the piano bar.

Outstanding meal (especially Lamb Lollipops). Mikayla was an outstanding server. View was spectacular. Best spot we found on the island.

Alina was a great sincere server. This was our most favorite restaurant on our trip. Food fresh and amazing. Don’t miss!

The atmosphere is beautiful and our server was outstanding but this is the third time we've dined here and the food quality was not great. The oysters were dry, the pork chop was over cooked and dry. The fish special was not the right temperature when served.

Lovely spot out on patio. Not great for a gluten free diner like me though. Only option I could really have was a salad as there’s no gluten free bread (every other place on the Island I ate had GF bread). So had the trout dip alone without the crostini which was tiny for $16. Cobb salad was good tho. I def ordered a 6 oz glass of wine and thought it was a large pour but turned out she gave me and charged me for 9 oz glass. Had to be somewhere so didn’t have time to dispute the charge but that was a bummer and about $12 we didn’t owe. Husband said his steak sandwich was great.

Always lovely and delicious! We come back here every time we can. Beautiful view and dining room nicely decorated. They take good care of this gem.
