Under the direction of Chef Greg Murphy, the Carriage House Dining Room is known island-wide for its fine classic American cuisine. Local seafood selections such as Carriage House whitefish from Lake Superior and prime steaks from a Detroit family butcher are paired with fresh salads, soups and desserts topped with signature Iroquois Hot Fudge.

Directly overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, guests enjoy flawless service in our glass-enclosed dining room or on one of our breezy outdoor waterfront verandas. The restaurant features an extensive wine list, full bar and nightly entertainment at the piano bar.

The ambiance was exceptional. The lamb appetizer while seasoned perfectly was overcooked and should be closer to medium rare. The gazpacho was delightful and refreshing Scallops a bit overcooked need more of a light hand on the searing and the sauce to overpowering fir such a “delicate” shellfish

Everything was outstanding. The outside seating with a water view, waitress and food made for a great lunch….all perfection!

We had an incredible brunch at the Careiage House. Our outdoor seating was clean and comfortable. It was shaded but with a clean view of the beauty on Mackinac Island. Our server, Amber, was attentive and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions. We were there for a birthday celebration for our daughter and it was so pleasant! The food was incredible and we will be going back to try more brunch items, as well as venture there for lunch or dinner!

An extremely attractive dining option with an interesting menu. We dined on a particular busy night (regatta in town) and Amber was an attentive server. The food, while tasty and attractively presented, was excellent, but not top of class. Highlight was whitefish cakes starter and pork chop. The special of the night was salmon and was my first choice. I requested it medium-rare and was told the kitchen would only prepare medium-well. Given the type of restaurant this was and the price point, I thought the lack if accommodation was odd and, fearing a dry piece of fish, selected another item. My final point was on price, with 3 starters, 3 mains, 2 desserts and a lower price bottle of rose, dinner ran about $110 pp with a 20% tip.
