Under the direction of Chef Greg Murphy, the Carriage House Dining Room is known island-wide for its fine classic American cuisine. Local seafood selections such as Carriage House whitefish from Lake Superior and prime steaks from a Detroit family butcher are paired with fresh salads, soups and desserts topped with signature Iroquois Hot Fudge.

Directly overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, guests enjoy flawless service in our glass-enclosed dining room or on one of our breezy outdoor waterfront verandas. The restaurant features an extensive wine list, full bar and nightly entertainment at the piano bar.

Our server, Kristen was outstanding. Very professional, very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. Overall we enjoyed our time at the carriage house! We also sat on the side patio and the weather was perfect.

Beautiful atmosphere, great piano music in the background , noise level low which is really rare to find nowadays, food was excellent .. husband had scallop dish , I had the gnocchi dish . Service is above and beyond. We decided to have desert in our room at the hotel after taking a walk downtown so the server delivered it to our room . Can’t say enough good things about this dining experience !

We always make dining with the Carriage House a priority in our travels to Mackinac Island. This time was as perfect as ever. The food, service, and overall experience is unparalleled!

The scallops and whitefish cakes were great! We had a good water front view. Definitely try to time your reservation around sunset because the restaurant faces west

We sat outside with the amazing view. And the food and service was very very good. Whoever thought to lay a perfectly cooked halibut on top of a crab cake was a genius. And the hummer for dessert was pure pmmmmmm. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the ingredients are high quality and flavor is excellent.

We came to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary and we were delighted with our experiene. Our server wished us a happy anniversary as soon as we were seated and she had placed a vase of flowers at our table for us to enjoy even before we arrived. Her service was excellent for the whole meal. Our food was great, the drinks were wonderful and the dessert was yummy. We enjoyed the live piano music that was in the adjoining room. We also had a great view of the marina from our table. It was a special night.

Loved the live music, gorgeous view, and thoughtful service. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend dining here. We make it a tradition to try and have dinner here every time we visit the island.
