This was my first time at Carpe Raci. The service and the food were 2nd to none. Since I was alone, I thought for sure I would have been stuffed at a table out of sight, but I was given the option of either sitting at a two seat table or at the bar or upstairs in their main dining room. I chose the bar since I was alone and did t want to take up tables. I had that Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection. And I felt the pricing was very reasonable. I will definitely be going back.

Great little place in downtown Brecksville with a pretty spectacular wine and cocktail selection. Didn’t splurge tonight, but they offer Dom and Quintessa by the glass, which is ridiculous. Service and vibe were great, food was outstanding!

Unfortunately the server did not ask if we wanted more drinks or an entree (we did), so we got the check and left. My old fashioned was great though. I was looking forward to trying a few more things on the menu. The restaurant was not busy. It was a Tuesday night. No excuse for poor service.

Carpe Raci, located in the historic building once known as The Red Brick Store, is a true gem in Brecksville, Ohio. This charming restaurant, nestled at the corner of Route 21 and Route 82, dates back to the 1850s and exudes a unique blend of historical charm and modern elegance. We recently celebrated our anniversary at Carpe Raci, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Upon mentioning our special occasion, the staff surprised us with two complimentary glasses of champagne, a delightful and thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the evening. The menu at Carpe Raci is diverse and enticing. I opted for the cioppino, a seafood lover’s dream, bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly cooked seafood. My wife chose the Chicken Parmesan, which was equally impressive, with tender chicken and a rich, flavorful sauce. Both dishes were expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. The ambiance of Carpe Raci is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for any special occasion or a cozy dinner out. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and the restaurant’s rich history makes Carpe Raci a standout dining destination in Brecksville. We can’t wait to return!

I previously dined here and had mixed experiences. Good friends of mine encouraged me to give it another try since there was a new kitchen staff. Tonight was a disappointment with service, food and cocktail prices! Service was extremely slow, we repeatedly had to flag our server down for ordering, water refills, food status, and clearing of dishes. Order time until entree arrival was one hour. The cost of a gin martini was $23. When I questioned the bartender on the cost he replied that if price was a concern I should have asked the price before ordering. I replied that the restaurant may want to do a market price comparison with other area establishments, such as Lockkeepers, with a martini with the same gin costing $15. At that point I went on to explain our overall experience at the restaurant when the same bartender said if we had said the things during our dining experience and not when paying our bill it would have been corrected (which we repeatedly did throughout the evening. Instead of apologizing and asking what they could do differently in the future he simply put his head down. The sad thing is this space had so much potential to be a go to spot and a star in the Brecksville area, however they just can't get it right. Never again !!

Please reach out to us personally as the 1-star review was from an anonymous account. We were able to pull all the martinis ordered last night and they all range from $13-$16. There was one gin martini that was an upcharge that we believe is due to a Hendricks requested upcharge, which is stated on the menu. We would like to have you experience us again.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We were seated upstairs and found the space comfortable and attractive. Our server was attentive and the food was delicious. We look forward to dining here again soon!
