Caroline's Table is a unique farm to table restaurant in the heart of the Eastern Shore. Chef Ken Zellers sources locally grown and harvested seafood, proteins and vegetables and works magic to elevate them into a memorable dining experience. The restaurant is housed in a historic building that has been lovingly restored. It was formally the town doctors house with his office in a small adjacent building. In addition to the main restaurant, THE SIDEBAR is located in the small building and serves up more casual fare including house made sourdough pizzas, fresh soups, salads and unique charcuterie boards. Reservations are encouraged for Caroline's Table and can be made by calling/texting the restaurant directly at 410-490-4495. Please note that The Sidebar is open only seasonally and closed in the Fall/Winter months.

Food was very tasty, we had the shrimp and grits, never had such creamy grits!! Yummmm. Portion was just right as we weren’t extremely hungry. The servers always made sure our water glasses were filled and didn’t hover or imply we needed to leave immediately after eating like you feel at some restaurants. Appreciated the evening Happy Hour with $5 wine and beer. However, for such an intimate indoor setting, it was loud, would have been better to sit outside.

Fred, our waiter, was great. The red pepper bisque and fingerling frisée salad were delicious. The star of the show was the shrimp on sourdough.

Dinner on the porch and it was delicious. Great salad and some scallops. Wonderful!

Seems a bit over priced, we didn’t have a horrible time but not what I was expecting. Steak not cooked correctly and server a bit on the cold side. Empty dining room but sat almost on top of another couple. Very limited menu.

Lovely venue with pleasant and attentive staff. Limited menu options and more fish/seafood was fine for us but would be limiting for our friends with seafood allergies. The fresh produce was great and well prepared. The beef was a bit tough, tasty but not worth the high price point. Appetizers were delicious. We were too stuffed to have dessert.

Crabcakes were dried out. It is a shame because they used beautiful lump crab meat. It was almost like they sat under a heat lamp to long. Charcuterie board was good, but the bread was so hard we had to work around it and couldn't really eat some of the pieces. They were cold like they had been put in the fridge. Gazpacho was very good and the snake head was delicious.

Our party of four was welcomed and seated immediately. The dining room decor was clean, crisp and pleasant. It was next to the bar, where the noise level caused difficulty for conversation, for which we had plenty of time as the wait for our food was excessively long. The waitress took our orders promptly. The servers were well-groomed and pleasant, but not very attentive after that. Filling our 4 water glasses the first time took two trips. About 45 minutes after ordering, our server came for the first time to check on us, saying that they were still working on our food but it should be out shortly. She also made two trips to fill our water glasses. Both servers were observed sitting while we waited. Our meals were finally delivered after ten to fifteen additional minutes. There were only three other tables being served. The food was good, except for the fingerling potatoes that seemed overcooked and heavily spiced. The scallops were barely warm. The tomato in the salad was mealy. Presentation was fair. Nothing stood out on the dessert menu, so we opted for a local ice cream shop. We are not inclined to return to Caroline's.

The food is so thoughtfully assembled. Tried the savory pop tart and it was outstanding!
