Since 1995, we have been proudly serving the locals, students and visitors to Chapel Hill. A lot has changed in both our town and the craft beer industry since we opened our doors as the culmination of a business school plan I wrote my senior year at UNC. Today, we celebrate our North Carolina roots with a made-from-scratch menu focused on Carolina foods in a newly renovated building. I hope you enjoy a true Carolina experience here at Carolina Brewery and will look for our award winning beers on your travels throughout the Carolinas.

Visited with 6 people, and every one of us was very impressed with our meals. I had one of their seasonal specials, the chipotle smash burger. It was excellent! Casual atmosphere and a great place in general. I will be returning!

Overall Okay…but the experience fell short. Service was slow, with our food taking over an hour to arrive. Despite waiting nearly two hours, we had to leave before receiving the final portion of our meal. While the staff was apologetic, the delay overshadowed any positive aspects. If you’re not in a rush and don’t mind potentially incomplete meals, it might be worth a try. Otherwise, manage your expectations.

The hamburguer Carolina is awesome and the crafted beers are delicious. Everyone there is super kind.

Overall a solid option that is close to the heart of Chapel Hill. Nice that they had some albeit limited parking. Only bit of feedback is that it feels a bit worn…dirty back steps, kitchen floors and menus.

I can’t comment on some of the review questions. This is because we were seated with menus and waited over 15 minutes and no waitress or waiter ever came by. We saw them standing in the kitchen, some on their phones. It was our first experience there being from out of town and a friend recommended it. We were looking forward to eating there but for a restaurant that was almost empty, we should get service.

Good food. New server (expected this time of year just after graduation) but being trained up and well-supported by the rest of the staff.
