Carnegie Diner & Café offers limited reservations 30% only and 70% walk in. We are brand new and we like to accommodate all of you. Carnegie Diner features an extensive all-day breakfast menu in addition to serving a wide selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, steaks, fresh fish, pastas, desserts and more. All day breakfast items include a Classic Benedict with optional addition of lobster, Avocado Toast, a BLT Quinoa Bowl with chopped bacon and poached eggs, Steak and Eggs, and three eggs any style served with hash browns and bread. There are a dozen types of pancakes, decadent waffles and French Toast offered. The restaurant also features a full page of plant-based options. Lunch and dinner entrees include rib-eye steak, Atlantic salmon, fish n’ chips, shrimp spaghetti and spaghetti carbonara. Desserts include a decadent 24-layer chocolate cake, pies, cupcakes and over-the-top milkshakes to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Thought this would be a more elevated diner experience….but it was standard basic diner food, ambience and service…….nothing special or unique. A major disappointment is when we ordered their specialty cocktails on the menu. They then told us they didn’t have a liquor license so we could only order beer or wine…..huh!!! It’s not worth the hype and won’t return.

Very clean and inviting restaurant, with friendly service and a long menu of things that sounded good. Breakfast is available all day. Our disappointment was with the pastrami and corned beef sandwiches; they're billed as high-end and have a price to match ($22.95 for 1/2 pound of meat on rye with cole slaw and a side salad), but the meat tasted no better than standard grocery deli meat and the side salad that was included (fries are an upcharge) was mediocre lettuce with what tasted like bottled dressing. We'd come back for the breakfast, but not the sandwiches.

Not worth the money. Went on a Wednesday evening and ordered eggs benedict. At almost 20 dollars you would at least expect properly cooked eggs and a good amount of bearnaise. But you would be wrong. Many dinners claim the portions are very generous to justify the prices but I didn’t see any of that. Got 2 overcooked eggs on smallish english muffins, couple of dollops of sauce, dried and lukewarm hash browns and half the plate covered by very fluffed spring mix salad. Service was abysmal. On a relatively quiet night it took over 10 minutes for the waiter to make it to our table and were never offered refills or anything else. I will not be coming back. Silver Diner, still overpriced, is a much better value and customer service is always on point.

We were disappointed with our experience after hearing how great it was from others. Our server was in a rush, and it took over 20 minutes just to place our food order after getting our drinks. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our meal. Both burgers were ordered medium and cooked at least well or well done. And the buns were so thin that after the first bite, the entire top bun had basically disintegrated. Prices were entirely fair if we hadn't had a bad experience. Hoping it was a one-off because I'd like to see them do well.

The soft and neutral aesthetic with the comfortable and retro decor was my absolute favorite part. The food was great and the shear size of their desserts will take anyone’s sweet tooth.

Portions are big, food is good! Service is friendly and quick. It is loud, so although not good for quiet conversation, it adds to the overall vibe of being in a buzzing, vibrant New York diner.

We had 3 in our party and we enjoyed our delicious brunch entrees. The service was average because it was busy on a Saturday for brunch. Our server was ok. He did put in our order correctly but the kitchen did not prepare one of our items, so we did not receive our pancakes, we had to ask for utensils, and my friend did not receive the hamburger she ordered so that had to go back to the kitchen. The correct burger was delivered to our table shortly after the mixup, but overall, it was a decent experience. We’ll try again when it’s less busy.
