A restaurant in NYC cannot afford to have broken air conditioning in the summer. Apparently the AC had been broken for weeks, so the restaurant should have made a notice on their website or on OpenTable when I booked the reservation. Despite the lack of AC, the food and service were good. A nice option for a pre-show dinner.

We ate at Carnegie Diner two days in a row at the same time and had different service experiences. Our second day, we had a waitress who had only been there two weeks, so service was a little slower and not as flawless as the day prior. Overall, we liked it and will go again.

We enjoyed our visit. Food and service was great. They need to repair or upgrade their a ir conditioning. Restaurant was hot.

We had a good lunch prior to seeing our show. The burgers & fries were good. The fish & chips disappointing. Soggy batter crust. The staff very friendly & there were enough servers, yeah! At lunchtime, the diner was hopping.

The Carnegie Diner was great! The food was good and they had a wide variety of options. The drinks were refreshing in the sweltering heat. Im not sure if their AC was on or broken but it was hot in the restaurant, so much so I was sweating. They also cram a lot of people in so while there was personal space all the extra bodies made it even hotter.
