Carne Mare is an Italian chophouse by Chef Andrew Carmellini offering prime cuts of steaks, fine seafood, and Italian specialties. The menu by Chef Carmellini and Chef della Cucina Levi Raines begins with fine seafood, cocktails, oysters, traditional antipasti, salads and carpaccio. Entrées include housemade pastas, seafood and, of course, the main attraction: prime-aged beef, wagyu and prime rib, served with a selection of steakhouse contorni.

We celebrated our son birthday at Carne Mare. He selected the restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Our server Bradley was very nice and Noah who prepared our salad was very friendly. Our meals were delicious!!! My halibut was a good size portion filled with flavor. The sea bass was amazing as well! Highly recommend the Marsala mushrooms as a side dish. Prepared perfectly. The bread is amazing as well. We’ve dined at Carne before but tonight was beyond delicious!!! Everyone we visit Nashville we always make it one of our stops. Thank you.!

Food is top notch. Serving staff is beyond impressive. I personally enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s loud enough that your table can laugh and chat without having to worry about disrupting others while also being able to hear fine when conversation is being had. Everyone should put Carne Mare on their list.

Overall it was ok. However, My wife Octopus had a long black hair. We told the waiter he was nice about it. Manager never came in to at least apologize. This was our first visit. I understand that things happened but you should never have hairs on your food.

Get the wagyu tartare! I wish there was a dinner size, it was amazing. Server was really sweet.

My friends and I decided we needed a dessert night and we had been dying to try the 17 Layer Chocolate Cake. I'm so sad to say it didn't live up to our expectations :( The positives: service was nice, friendly, good personality. The bartender was GREAT - drinks were super solid. The not so good: We had the flambe and the cake as mentioned earlier. The flambe was good but a few of the flavors did not mesh well. And then...the cake....we saved it for last. At first bite we all looked at each other excited and waiting for each of us to gasp at how good it was. But....we were met with dry cake and very very little filling - it was more cake than anything else. It wasn't horrible but def. not worth the price or the excitement we had built up around it. Would I go back? Sure! It was a really beautiful restaurant and they did have a nice oyster menu. Would just skip dessert next time.
