Carnal focuses on the bold flavors of wood fire and caramelization balanced with acidic, raw, and seasonal elements. We are a passionate group of cooks who do not cut corners and hope that is evident when you try our food. Our signature dish is a bone-in beef rib that is sous-vide before grilling over an open wood fire and finished with rendered bone-marrow. We source many of our ingredients from local farms and fisheries.

    Absolutely fantastic experience from beginning to end. Our server was so sweet and knowledgable and did an incredible job guiding us through our dinner. The food was exceptional! We can't wait to return! THANK YOU!!

    The staff worked together to take care of our table and it was flawless. We were initially seated by a large table of wedding party and felt like we were intruding on them, so waitress graciously moved us. The food was very good, but found some dishes very salty and a couple dishes less flavorful. The scallops and brioche rolls were fantastic and the charred broccolini was delicious but overstated. We really enjoyed our experience and will try it again.

    Great food. Great service. Love the people there. This is one place in town that knows how to create a dining experience. It’s not just about the food, it’s about going to Carnal for a special occasion, a romantic date, or a serious conversation. This place brings it every time.

    The taste of the food was below expectations. Considering the price, it’s really not a value oriented restaurant.

    Carnal’s service is very good. People just kept coming in. It was very busy after 7:00. Food was very good and tasty. Based on the service and the food I would normally rate the place a 5. However for the cost, portions are small. For the two of us we ordered four dishes (two chicken wings, broccolini, the trout and skirt steak) The main dishes (trout and Skirt steak) were the larger dishes and are a la carte. Like I said the food was very good but I thought it was a bit overpriced.

    Great overall experience, it definitely exceeded my expectations. If you are visiting Bellingham you need to try this place.

    Best restaurant find in months. Every part of the meal from the craft cocktails to every morsel of food was divine. What a find
