On our way to Nantucket we stopped at Carmines. Easy parking. Pleasant ambience, efficient service, traditional Italian food. Just what we were looking for.

The presentation of food and quickness to serving was outstanding. However we were delievered the wrong drink and lobster was undercooked. Restaurant was super clean, servers and hosts were super friendly. We did not send back our drink or lobster with sirloin due to everything else truly being a great experience, and the drink was pretty good despite being wrong. Would definitely try coming here again

First of all the room was freezing. I mean really cold. It was a mild night so we didn't have jackets and sweaters with us. Our waitress kindly turned the A/C down and another waiter kept turning it up. Very unpleasant. My wife had a seafood medley which she enjoyed. I had eggplant parmigiana which was not great. There were a few very thin slices of eggplant covered with a mountain of ricotta and parmigiana. I only tasted the cheese. I had to scrape the cheeses off to see if they had forgotton to put eggplant under it because I really couldn't taste it. They served bread with dipping oil. The bread was a nice ciabatta but not very fresh.

We ordered Steak tips and chicken piccata. Steak tips were delicious, but chicken was just ok. Not a lot of flavor. Service was excellent, but prices were a little high.

My family enjoyed everything that we ordered. They even had dessert. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. We will be back

I feel the drinks were mediocre at best and the food I feel should have been. More authentic Italian.
