   My husband ordered a steak which was slightly chewy and I ordered the cheeseburger with a gluten-free bun, which was pretty good although the huge chunky sweet potato fries we’re a little bit too much. I would’ve enjoyed smaller wedges.

   Were seated promptly when checked in with reservations. Had bang bang shrimp (special) and calamari apps. White sangria was yummy. Server took order for our table without writing anything down and it all came out right - impressive. The xpo team could use a little coaching. They were so deadpan and almost looked annoyed. After went to bar so we weren't holding up table and the bartender Shane was a hoot.

   Our party all had something different! Everything was delicious from the fish and chips to pecan-crusted chicken...to the shrimp cakes and veggie burger...and the blackened chicken pasta. The staff members were so accommodating; a very pleasant experience!

   From arriving to seating down and service was quick and very professional. The waitress was super and attended to our needs very good and professional. The drinks and appetizers came out quick and food was hot. The main course came out and delicious and plentiful. Everything went so nice we love going there.

   I am vegetarian/vegan, so let's start there. I was disappointed that there were only a couple of options for main courses for me to select from: mushroom ravioli and a black bean burger. Both pretty basic, and considering I dislike mushrooms and wasn't looking for a burger, I was left with no good options. That said, my dining partners enjoyed their ribs and salmon, so non-veg eaters seemed to enjoy their food. Despite having had a reservation for over two weeks, we were seated in the back ("add on") section where the ambience was casual and very loud. We all had to strain ourselves to have conversation. It wasn't the experience I was looking forward to, so I won't be back.

    Caitlin is always a dream and I request her every time I eat at Carlyle. The food is consistently fantastic and it remains my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor!
