Here at Carluccio's, we’ve always been true to our Italian heritage and what food really means to us. The best ingredients, from the best regions, cooked with love.

We are situated in the upper concourse of Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station. We are in the perfect location for customers to eat before leaving the city or just arriving.

We’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Sunday. Our menu also caters for vegetarians/vegans and those who are following a gluten free diet.

    Carluccio's is the perfect place to meet when people are travelling by train from different directions, just get off the train - straight into Carluccio's! A very attractive area with good food.

    On arrival we were greeted by a pigeon, eventually followed by a staff member. There only seemed to be 2 staff members which meant that service wasn’t particularly quick or friendly. Bathrooms were out of order so had to use station facilities. Garlic bread was one of the worst I’ve ever had but the risotto and pasta were both quite tasty. Hadn’t realised that it was a station restaurant when I found it on trip advisor and booked. Probably ok for a quick pit stop between trains but not really what we were hoping for for a dinner pre concert.

    We booked online a table for two for dinner at 6:45pm. I had a question but my phone calls in the two days before dinner were all unanswered. I messaged to the restaurant to enquire several hours before arrival but still no reply. Upon arrival 5 minutes before 6:45pm, the staff told us that the kitchen would close at 6:45pm and we had to rush to order otherwise we could not have any food for dinner. The tuna we ordered was not available. The seabass was not pan fried, probably deep fried ...

    Booked for 6.15pm, arrived to be told they closed at 6pm. Then ignorantly said 'that's impossible' not possible until I showed them the app booking. No apology, just ackowledged it was 'bizarre' and ushered out of the restaurant. Lack of food rating due to inability to judge.

    Horrendous. Staff made you feel like a hinderance. Waiting ages to be served only after we had to ask for service. Wrong drinks delivered and extra bottle of wine added to the bill which we hadn’t had. Plates not cleared away. Shocking!

    Although the food was excellent I felt the service could have been better. A waiter asked me what food I wanted within 5 mins of being seated and came back twice again before telling him I had not had chance to read the menu and I would signal him when I was ready. He did not ask what we wanted to drink which would have given us time to decide and on his third visit, I had to prompt him to order wine. Also, during the meal, a waitress brought the main courses before we had finished our starters. There did not seem any obvious reason as it was not very busy but it was a slight shame as the Restaurant is a little gem.

    We booked a table at 5pm and arrived promptly. We finally got attended to at 5.25. At 545 they brought us the wrong food. We gave up and went elsewhere. The couple next to us had mure patience and waited over an hour for their food. This in a railway station where time is important. No apologies and no interest from the staff. Such a different and disappointing experience from other Carluccio’s I have experienced.

    We arrived at 5pm for our pre concert meal, it took a little while for our order to be taken, there were 3 waiting staff & 2 chefs. Our bottle of wine arrived followed by our stater at about 5.50. There were a lot of complaints from other customers who's food wasn't arriving & people were leaving. At 6.20 one of the serving staff came to ask if we had had our main course which considering our starter plates were still in front of us we hadn't, she asked how long we had before we needed to leave then went to chase up the food, 10 minutes later another server brought over some food which wasn't our order, when the server came back to ask about the food we then said that we would have to go as even if our food arrived we wouldn't have time to eat it. The chefs looked as though the had no clue what they were doing & the waiting staff spent most of there time behind the bar rather than chsing up food orders. As we were paying I said that they needed to speak to a manager as this was just the start of the Eagles residency & that there would be a lot of people booking in there for a pre concert meal. Plus a lot more concerts to follow now the arena was open.

    Shown to table and then had to ask for menus and to order drinks, as just left and had been a good 5 mins or so No sooner had the menus been given to us and then asked for our food order, so advised we weren’t ready to order Placed order and then waiter brought our mains and then when we advised of the mistake he said do you want the food now and we asked what about our starters as we hadn’t had them yet! Asked if mains was going to be kept warm or cooked fresh and advised kept warm, so I asked if we could have fresh. Waiter asked if we could remember what starter we had ordered. A few minutes later our starter was brought by a grumpy waitress with a real attitude problem, just plonking down on the table with an air of I don’t want to be serving you vibe! Mains then finally delivered to us and I think it was probably freshly cooked. However portion sizes for cost of food was terrible! Whilst eating our mains we noted that the same waiter had made a mistake on an order for another table. Asked for bill and just placed on table with card machine immediately thrust in to my face to pay! No pleasantries whatsoever! Paid bill and walked out of restaurant and again no pleasantries or acknowledgement from staff as we left. Worst £64 I have ever spent! Will not be returning and would seriously suggest you avoid. Worst experience in a restaurant ever!!!

    Staff poorly trained , luckily we where not in a rush so enjoyed watching the performance, wrong food to tables , bills incorrect , no tidying away , people left long time to place orders etc .
