My previous visit was not what I expected and I had decided not to return. However my friend really wanted to go. What a difference from last experience. Food was excellent and staff very friendly and attentive.

We had a lovely breakfast on Sunday morning. Great service and food. Only criticism was the avocado was really cold and poached eggs a bit cold too - but we think this was because we were the first in and only just opened.

When I am working at Chester Carluccio’s has become a regular venue for my wife and I. he staff are lovely and the food is very good. I don’t like noisy places to eat and having tried several other Italian restaurants in Chester Carluccio’s is our definite favourite. We will be back towards the end of July and am looking forward to returning.

Good food at reasonable price, good choice of menu, friendly staff, my only concern was the dogs, I had not realised that this is a dog friendly restaurant and there was at least 4 large dogs at close tables, I am all for dog friendly places however those that I have been to in the past always have a set area to eat for those with dogs, this is not the case here. Fortunately I am not allergic or frightened of dogs but had I been it would have ruined my meal. I realise it was probably my fault for not realising it was dog friendly, I have been to this restaurant many times in the past and have never before seen dogs in there! I feel it should be made clearer that this is a dog friendly restaurant

We weren’t told about the lunch menu being extended to Saturdays, but after ordering we heard the sever tell another table all about the options available. Service was very slow. Food was ok but felt it was expensive for what we had.

This was our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service. Will definitely be back.

Used to love carluccios chester - had many many meals there up until lockdown including special occasions. First time back for a couple of years and oh, what a let down. I must say that our servers were excellent. Very friendly and as helpful as they could be in the circumstances. Reduced menu in chester for some odd reason. The food that we did have was mediocre at best. More like any number of fast food chains that are all the same and probably much cheaper. We don't mind paying for quality, which we were always sure of in the past, but felt the meals were over priced and not top rate. We did use the current half price mains voucher which made the bill less painful. Carluccios has lost it's way I'm afraid and we are unlikely to re- visit. (Also, the shop/take out section seems to have dwindled to almost nothing).

Brilliant evening and excellent food Had a warm greeting on arrival. I was early, shown to our table and asked if I would like to look at the menu as I waited for friends to arrive. A waiter gave me a glass of water unprompted and took my drinks request. We opted for the Set Menu of 3 courses, excellent value for money and usual high standard of food. Our waiter Ben was polite, cheerful, friendly and very efficient We all look forward to our next visit

Arrived after a 20 mile journey to Chester for a Carluccio’s breakfast. Upon arrival we were told that the oven was broken and it would be several hours before it would/could be working. The staff were very apologetic but we had to leave. Disappointed to say the least ! Last time the pizza oven was broken !!
