From the people that brought you Trattoria Carina, Pub & Kitchen and The Diving Horse comes their newest restaurant, Carina Sorella.

Carina Sorella is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a focus on delicious and approachable food in a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Our menu is built around classic dishes - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan - but we surround that core of dishes with seasonal, chef driven specialties.

The Bryn Mawr location will include the addition of a pizza oven and a full bar, building on the smaller footprint of the existing location in Philadelphia, Trattoria Carina.

    Eric our server was fabulous! We had a party of 6 and he was attentive and so well educated on the menu. Will definitely be back!

    The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the focaccia bread, caesar salad, and two pasta entrees (rigatoni and the other was crab pasta with a name I can’t recall) and it did not disappoint! We also tried their drinks which were delicious as well! Our server Eric was awesome and was so friendly, attentive, and made great suggestions. Even after we paid our bill and were finishing up our last drinks he made a point to check in on us. Great experience, great food, would highly recommend!

    This restaurant has a great vibe, incredible service and the best part is the food tastes incredible ! Bistro vibe surrounding a bar with open air to the outside. ( great energy, but might be hard to hear if you have that issue) They didn’t have 0.0 non alcoholic beer so the manager went and bought some at a distributor. So many people working there, the service was great! But the food surpasses all, don’t forgo the focaccia! I had the rigatoni and loved it! The decaf cappuccino was excellent as well. Love this place, I hope to return often! hardest part is getting the reservation.

    On noise level, we only clicked on "Energetic" because there was no "Unbearable." I'm still hoarse from trying to shout over the cacophony to the other four people at our table. And, of course, as everyone at every table had to shout, it only got louder. Do NOT go here if you wish to have a conversation. The management said they are going to add sound absorbers but they had better be as big as Temperpedic mattresses. The sound absorbers in a different part of the restaurant helped but it was still loud.) To further enhance the experience, the service was unprofessional. Four of us were finished with our salads and pasta entrees before our fifth got her pizza, which was mediocre. When we asked our waitress twice about her pizza order, we were told both times "it's coming" but she did nothing to check. Note that a pizza oven can make a flatbread pizza in two minutes. One server also reached right across one person's face to pass a drink to another, even though there was plenty of room to step over and deliver it properly. That said, the pasta dishes ranged from good to very good. And the restaurant is beautifully decorated, though by a designer with a great eye for beauty and no ear for noise. Lots of tile, faux marble tables with no table clothes, glass and other hard surfaces. Because of the problems, the manager comped the food but that did little to make up for what was a reunion among friends that was supposed to feature conversation. Unless and until we hear the problems are solved, we will not be returning.

    Attractive spot with good food and service but the noise level was deafening! So loud that my wife and I couldn’t have a conversation at the table.

    First visit, not returning. Food was average, not worth the price. Advised them weeks in advance we were celebrating a birthday but it was never acknowledged in any way. One member of our party requested an adjustment to a dish based on a food allergy. They said no problem. However when our entrees arrived, theirs was not served with the others. It arrived nearly 15 minutes after the others. The explanation was they were remaking the dish because the first one contained the ingredients that disregarded the food allergy. No adjustment of any kind was offered. Two of us ordered chicken parm. It was $32 and did not include any sides, not even a small side of pasta. Lastly, it was the loudest restaurant I have ever experienced! So loud that conversation was impossible without shouting and we were not even able to hear the specials when they were recited by our server. But at least they were attentive to our water glasses, coming to the table every 10 minutes or so to top them off.

    First time there. We tried the focaccia (like a biscuit) meatballs ( great) the scallops (very good) and the gemelli with pesto ( a little bland and not too hot when served) and the artichoke (good but expensive for 1 artichoke). Plan to spend $70 plus per person. Lovely renovation but noisy.

    Nice restaurant. Good not great experience. Meal started with waitress spilling water service all over the table and our phones. No big deal. We ordered antipasti for starter. Said we have a mushroom allergy of course the plate came out with mushrooms all over it. Felt rushed by waitress. Food pretty good. At the end ordered a tea. Waitress came back to say they don’t have that on the menu. I had to point to it on the menu. No offer of desert or a drink for the many screw ups. No acknowledgment of the obvious sub par service. Meh. Not hurrying back.
