At Caribou the surroundings are comfortable and the focus is contemporary cuisine of exceptional quality. Signature dishes created by our Chef include certified Angus tenderloin, cedar plank salmon, black and blue ahi tuna and wood oven pizzas. Our desserts are prepared in-house by our pastry chef. We feature an extensive wine list with numerous vintage wines as well as over 30 wines by the glass.
Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar opened in November of 1999. The menu has been developed over many years of visiting restaurants all over North America and the world. Options represent Italian, Asian, Cuban or any other styles of new and exciting cuisine.
Caribou has been listed in "Where to Eat in Canada" for several years running and the wine list has earned the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" every year since 2002.

We enjoyed a phenomenal dinner at Caribou. Tonight’s specials were delicious -zucchini carpaccio and chanterelle pasta. Our server Donny was friendly and professional and regularly checked in with us. We always enjoy ourselves at Caribou and highly recommend it!

First time visit for my partner and I, a little nicer than our usual night out, but we had a great experience and food! I think we were missed with the bread and butter in the table, however the risotto balls, our entrees and the peanut butter cheesecake, we did not leave hungry! Great service and food

Best restaurant I have ever been to. I asked them for a special request and they made it happen. 10/10 and it’s very good food. Very good drinks and the staff are amazing. We will be back for more dinners in the future. Thanks caribou

What an amazing chef who has mastered perfection! Penne was phenomenal as well as Linguine. We lived the Arancini as a starter. Frambois Crème dessert was inspired. Thank you for a memorable evening.

The Caribou is consistently fabulous. The creative menu, attention to detail and excellent service will continue to keep this spot as one of my top dining choices in Thunder Bay. The only downside is the volume of noise in the restaurant which can make it difficult to carry on conversation on a busy night.

The caribou is and has been my all time favourite since they opened. Their food is amazing, atmosphere, the best and service,excellent. Last night we had the lamb meatballs - so so good that I’d like the recipe! Everything else was great as well. 🥰
