At Caribou the surroundings are comfortable and the focus is contemporary cuisine of exceptional quality. Signature dishes created by our Chef include certified Angus tenderloin, cedar plank salmon, black and blue ahi tuna and wood oven pizzas. Our desserts are prepared in-house by our pastry chef. We feature an extensive wine list with numerous vintage wines as well as over 30 wines by the glass.
Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar opened in November of 1999. The menu has been developed over many years of visiting restaurants all over North America and the world. Options represent Italian, Asian, Cuban or any other styles of new and exciting cuisine.
Caribou has been listed in "Where to Eat in Canada" for several years running and the wine list has earned the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" every year since 2002.

    Great food and great people! So good that we decided to eat there 2 nights in a row! All of the wait staff personnel were awesome. We would definitely recommend if you’re anywhere near Thunder Bay !!!

    Very good service. A bit disappointed in the pizza. The pasta was very good however. I'd go there again.

    Our evening out was to celebrate our 25 anniversary and we had a fantastic time. Teagan was absolutely amazing and attentive. We could not have asked for a better experience. The food was wonderful and we were full but comfortably so when we headed home.

    Excellent meal and service. It was moderate for noise level (as there were some empty tables around us making it easier to hear). The summer menu items (especially the gnocchi) were exceptional!

    Our meal was fantastic as well as our service! It was difficult to have a conversation without yelling - very loud. Would not want to have a romantic dinner in the restaurant when it is at capacity.

    Very nice experience, food is really good, but it gets very noisy as there are a lot of tables for the size of the room and it is hard to have any conversation, with your friends/family at the tables. The service staff was very friendly and attentive too.
