Carbone is Chef Mario Carbone’s homage to the great Italian American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York, where delicious, exceptionally well-prepared food was served in settings that were simultaneously elegant, comfortable and unpretentious. His food captures the essence of that history but takes its culinary cues from the kitchens of his childhood, the great talents with whom he worked throughout his early career and incorporates his signature techniques that blend familiar and bold flavors to create the most craveable dishes. We call this Carbone Italian.

Atmosphere and service were very good. Food was generally disappointing. Our assorted clams app came out cold. The clams were a day from being off. We got four entrees. My veal parm was very good and the fresh truffle tortellini was also good but it was a small portion and $150! The linguini was unimpressive and a small portion. Definitely not worth the money.

In a word - awful. Bad food & extremely overpriced. There should have been a trigger warning for the “Special” pasta dish containing maybe 6-6 raviolis for $150!! The steak was fatty and salty. Weird disco music, grandma decor. The only good thing was the Excellent sommelier - Rosemary. I hope she lands a better job at a great place. We will not return.

Worth every penny. Service was impeccable. You will never leave hungry. We will try to dine at the other locations in the future! We got: Cesar salad no anchovies, spicy rigatoni, tortellini ragu, artichokes, and squash. All were incredible

Sort of felt like a “tourist trap” with unfavorable mismatch of prices and food quality which is what I would expect in a west Texas town where they don’t expect you to come back. $40 Pasta entrees were small portioned, store bought, and over salted (likely to cover up poor quality). $31 Caesar salad was good but still $31 for single serving.

Service was slow. We waited about 30 min between app and entree. Second entree came after we boxed up our meal, thinking it wasn’t coming. We had them box it up as soon as it came. No comps. Those mistakes ruined the meal for us.

Despite the attitude and poor communication skills of the hostess, our experience was great! Food was phenomenal, wine was spectacular. Dessert was not on par with main dishes, but could be because we were stuffed! Overall it was a great experience!

Food was incredible. Chef Michael Carbone was in the house cooking this week. Great food, and beautiful restaurant. Outdid my expectations.

Hostess was horrible. Treated us like we were eating at a Cheesecake Factory. Not how you treat people who are going to spend 700+ on a dinner. Ordered a 150$ truffle pasta, the waiter was at our table for 5 minutes trying to grade the truffle with his bare fingers which eventually crumbled and he put it on a side plate for us to sprinkle the crumbled truffle on our cold pasta. The waiter was very nice and polite but clearly on some sort of drugs. He was so visibly overly energized and dilated pupils, and by the end of the night completely different. The busser was overworked and was doing too many tables at once which resulted in us waiting 20 minutes each time we asked for something. This experience was beyond bizarre for a restaurant of this caliber. Disappointed and will not be coming back.
