We were VERY happy with our meal. The carne asada enchiladas were amazing with the half and half red and white sauce. The white girl frozen marg was delicious too. Would highly recommend!!!

This is a really good Mexican restaurant in Gainey Ranch. The decor is great, food is really really good and drinks were as well! Nice crowd for Saturday evening and I hope word keeps getting out on their food! We definitely will be back and they have a nice happy hour too.

Went for lunch with friends. Really good food and wonderful service. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating! Started with the chips and Guacamole, definitely the best I've ever tasted! We ordered Carne Asada bowl, delicious and my favorite!, Chimichangas, Grilled Chicken Burrito and Carne Asada Enchiladas. Everyone loved their dish. Finished with the Churros with vanilla gelato, and the Tres Leches. Amazing! Definitely will be back!!

We ate visiting North Scottsdale from Boston and came across this place on Open Table. They have been open 7 weeks and I thoroughly recommend them. Excellent food, exceptional service, and great value. We will be back.

Very well priced and good fresh food. A little noisy since the bar is in the middle of restaurant area. Convenient location.

This is a nice neighborhood eatery with good food and a casual atmosphere. We were greeted promptly and seated by Syerra, our server. Bussers immediately brought water, chips, and dips to our table. The restaurant is small and was only about 1/3 full on a Friday evening, which was surprising. My husband and I ordered margaritas. We asked to see a list of tequilas so we could choose which to use, but there was no list, and it was not easy to see the bottles at the bar, so the bartender named several brands, and we picked one we had heard of, and had bought at home before. There were no margaritas listed on the menu, but most of the cocktails were in the range of $14 to $16, so that is what we expected to pay. I ordered veggie enchiladas with green sauce. The enchiladas were good, although not great. The green sauce was tomatillo sauce, which is tasty but not the traditional green chile sauce typical of enchiladas. The enchiladas did not come with any accompaniments, so I ordered a side of cilantro rice. I received white rice with no sign of cilantro, but the rice was good. My husband ordered Costillas, which was excellent. He really enjoyed it and said all of the accompaniments were great. One disappointment came at the end of the evening when we received our bill and found that the margaritas were $22 and $28 dollars each, and we each had two margaritas. So, our food cost a very reasonable $41, but our drinks cost $100 dollars (they were not in the $14 to $16 range like the cocktails on their menu). This seemed very much like price gauging to me, and I must admit to leaving the restaurant frustrated. Please know that Syerra provides excellent service, and if this restaurant adds reasonably priced, good-quality margaritas to the menu, or shares its prices for margaritas before someone orders them, then I am sure the very slow business would increase.

This was a terrific lunch with very good staff. Quality of food was top block. We were party of 4 and all enjoyed. To top it off the desserts were great.

Good service Cheese crisp with oaxacan cheese delicious. Fish & carne asada tacos tasty. Will return. Quiet Mexican music nice touch

We really wanted to like Carbon. But we kept being thrown curve balls. We were seated at a table that was being blasted by a large industrial fan. Dumb. You just don’t do that. The waiter took 15 min to come to the table. We ordered the fish tacos, the shrimp tacos, the cheese enchiladas, and the big steak. The tacos were excellent. The enchiladas were pretty poor. The steak was good but damn, it was more expensive than the same piece of meat at Steak 44. The bill for three people, including one beer (she never asked if I wanted another) and a margarita was $160. The night before, the same 3 of us ate at Hillstone for $180 with drinks and the works. Like I said, we so wanted to get behind Carbon, but for now we can just offer this perspective on our experience there.
