Caraffini, close to Sloane Square, is a long-standing Chelsea favourite, offering a generous welcome, excellent service, wonderful food and fine wine, all at a very competitive price. Our highly experienced team, and the warm elegance of the ambience, provide a memorably happy and relaxed experience.

We are reopening for business on 12th April 2021. From that date until at least 17th May tables are only available outside, in accordance with Government Covid rules.

Closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    Always a pleasure to go back to Caraffini, the staff so attentive and friendly. And of course the food is excellent. David, Miguel and the rest of the team provide great service on the Terrace outside.

    We read lovely reviews and decided to deviate from our family favorite Italian to try this restaurant. We ordered bread for the table which is charged. It arrived as cold burger buns which is not what we expected at an Italian. Starters were good, we each had a salad. Mains were very ordinary, my herb crusted lamb did not appear to have been cooked on order, and looked and tasted pre made. Pasta was again ordinary and the marinara sauce very dark in colour, not bright and light as we would expect. Service was attentive. A waiter with a persistent cough did annoy us….. Deserts looked tempting, but we were not inclined after a very average meal.

    A pleasant evening and dinner for the most part. My guests and I were well looked after. The food was all good except my own main course, which was over cooked and had clearly been sitting around as the sauce was congealed. Everyone else was delighted with their food.

    Lovely buzzy ambience and generous portions. However, too much pasta and too little seafood, and chocolate souffle was more a lava cake, not a souffle. So, the food was a tad disappointing.
