I had a family dinner here for my 40th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special experience. They graciously accommodated a few of my guests who were late because of the ferry and made sure their food came soon after they arrived. The food was delicious - everyone commented on the creative, delicious combinations the chefs concocted. Thanks for making my birthday so special!

The place is very old but rustic, the scallops on risotto was very tasty but over priced for 3 scallops. The Cioppino was very small they had their own take on it but did not let us know so it was not like a stew but couple mussels, clams and a small piece of Halibut. Both meals not worth the high cost. Had better and more food at other restaurants.

Amazing changes to the menu - everything we tried was fun. Great service - they were exceptionally helpful with the wine.

We enjoyed our meal last night a lot, yet I was still a bit let down because I'd looked forward to clam chowder and a bloody Mary, which I've had in previous visits and they were about the best I've ever had. Possibly the chowder is seasonal (?). The place is fantastic and our meal was very, very nice. I just had my heart set on that chowder!

Hard to beat the ambience of Captain Whidbey! And the food and service matched the ambience. Sat on the deck overlooking Penn Cove, and enjoyed great food, much of it sourced locally, with excellent presentation.

Our family enjoyed dinner our last night visiting the area. The dining room was comfortable with views of the water. Exceptional menu and drinks! We left so relaxed; when we return we hope to stay at the inn.

Lovely setting but service and food are lacking. We were seated promptly. But then sat for nearly 20 minutes with no c8ntact from staff as they were all busy having a chat around the hostess stand while one person tried to work the entire dining room. Food was just ok. Certainly not worth the price. My steak - ordered medium rare - was deliver medium ti medium well and cool like it had been sitting for too long. My wife’s salmon was over cooked and dry. It’s too bad as it’s a unique setting in a 100+ year old log lodge with a great water view

Some dishes were great ( muscles, scallops ) other really missed the mark ( crab Mac and no cheese, too sweet and Luke warm halibut) service and ambience were outstanding.

We celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant and the service was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect. Low key, outdoor setting overlooking the water. Simply a perfect evening.
