Captain's Trivia Night
Plusieurs dates disponibles
Enjoy a wonderful meal crafted by our incredible kitchen crew, with our rotation specialty Trivia Menu! We will have wine beer, and a selection of cocktails. To streamline service, a 18% auto gratuity will be added to all checks. Prizes are won each round, with this week's prize a Grand Prize of $75 to the winning team. Trivia goes from 7-8:30pm, and takes place in the restaurant and bar. Regular dinner and bar guests are more than welcome to attend and either play along or observe, but it does get loud! If looking for a more intimate dining experience, we recommend making a reservation between 4 and 5:15pm.

Captain Whidbey is delighted to host a you and your loved one for a romantic, one of a kind evening for Valentine's Day this February 14th. We be serving 4 courses, with wine recommendations per course. Our first course is a Dungeness Crab Beignet with frisee, celeriac remoulade, pickled pears, and a grain mustard glaze. Second course is our Cured King Salmon dish with smoked caviar, cauliflower butter and candied lemon. Third course will be Thousand Hills' Beef Striploin served with potato gratin, prawn thermidor, glazed young vegetables, with sauce mousseline We will end the night with our Red Velvet Gateau, with dark chocolate cremeaux and candied beets

Honestly, we were really disappointed with our experience tonight. I would go as far as saying that captain Whidbey is one of my favorite restaurants full stop and definitely one of our favorites on Whidbey. The property, the experience, the staff, food and drinks are all normally fantastic. But tonight was a real let down and was even worse as it was the night we chose to take some of our good friends for the first time. Service was just average, feeling fairly transactional versus the usually conversational servers. It was slow and we did not feel well looked after. The food was really poor tonight. Unseasoned brisket (which at $40 you expect to be phenomenal), dry salmon, gritty gnocchi, and the PNE board was much lighter stocked than usual. Do better please for all our sake!

Great food though the menu varies and sometimes it’s more exciting than other times. But when it’s good it’s great. Service is always excellent. I don’t know where they find their staff but they are always a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend.

Beautiful, unique property nestled in the wood on the bay shore. Great for a romantic evening dinner. Food is good but for the price point I expect a little better. That being said I would visit again.

Love Captain Whidbey's dining room. It was of course extremely busy during the holidays and service suffered as a result but still a great experience. Menu is a bit limited but always good. It is still a gem on Whidbey. We look forward to our next visit.

Food was excellent as always, however, the Thurston Wolfe GSM [Grenache Syrah Malbec? not the Mouvedre used in southern France) that was recommended by the bar as a substitute for the Tempranillo did not fly well with the meat dishes. The Corsican vermentinu was excellent with the fish dishes - crisp, dry. The dessert carrot cake is what all carrot cakes dream to be, the gingerbread ice cream is spicy, and the chocolate garnache is for chocaholics!

Such an amazing place to visit and the food was amazing. Service was wonderful, drinks were fabulous. We live on the island and have driven by 100 times, so glad we finally went!

I always take my parents out on their anniversary to cat and Whitby restaurant. I’ve been doing this for four years now. The experience has always been delightful! The food is great, the service is exemplary and we always have a great time.
