Situé au coin de la 15th et de K, le Capitol Garage est à distance de marche du Capitole, du centre des congrès et du théâtre communautaire de Sacramento. Ce restaurant est une icône du centre-ville depuis plus de 19 ans. Le menu propose un mélange éclectique de saveurs du monde entier qui saura satisfaire vos papilles. Le chef Raphael Kendall utilise uniquement les meilleurs ingrédients dans ses plats qui sauront plaire à tous... et à leur portefeuille. They have a small menu, but a good mix of vegan and non-vegan options, which is great if your group is looking for that. Our group ordered the burger with beef, the southwestern burger, and the artichoke chicken sandwich. All were very tasty, cooked perfectly, and the ingredients were fresh. Service was just okay. Not sure if our server was new or just having an off day. He wasn’t really friendly, just there to take our order. My husband requested a refill on his water, and the server did refill his glass but didn’t refill any of the others. When we were finished eating, he brought our check, but nobody cleared our plates until we left. It’s nice to have a few minutes to finish drinks and payment, etc. without dirty plates on the table - just my pet peeve. The atmosphere isn’t anything special. It’s true to its “Garage” name. Overall it was good and the prices were reasonable, but I probably won’t go back - so many other restaurants in the area that I’d try next time.

Our reservation was for 6:00. 90 minutes prior to the show we were to see. We waited 50 minutes for our food. Way too long. Did we make the show? Yes. Did we enjoy our dining experience? No. Food was fine but we had to eat so quickly to give us time to walk to the theater that we didn’t enjoy it. We have dined here many times before shows and never had this problem. But we’ll rethink it before next time.

It was a busy night with a big group seated before us, so we expected it might be a wait, but no one checked on us, apologized or explained the wait, or even refilled our water or asked if we needed anything for over an hour after we ordered. We had theater tickets so couldn’t bail and try to find another restaurant. The food was meh.

the burgers were delicious - our order came out backwards, i got my husbands medium rare but with my bacon. we had a few other order modifications that made us think we had the right one but halfway through the burger i realized my cheese was his cheese and we had a good laugh . the server was friendly but we had to go to the bar to refill our drinks as there was a large party of 10 and only one server so it felt a bit inattentive . all in all, he was working hard, we got to eat before our concert and the fries / chips were on point .

Very impressed how efficient and very kind service along with good food and reasonable prices. Our group ate there prior to attending the Woman’s rally, so got us fed and cashed out in plenty of time. Highly recommend.

The food here is always good, I really appreciate all the vegans options, and the service is excellent! This is the second time we had Joseph as our server and he really goes above and beyond.

Post-Theatre dinner. The Vegan Jambalaya has me coming back here whenever I’m Downtown. Because I’m allergic to pork, I can never have Jambalaya when I’m in NOLA. The Vegan version gives me that experience. It’s so good. Lots of hard surfaces, so it’s a bit loud … especially when there’s a nearby happy group.

We reserved a table, having a Groupon coupon that had expired but SPECIFICALLY said that the original value ($70) would be honored. We checked with the waiter ahead of ordering, and he said they would make it work. It was (and did) not, with the Manager’s explanation that they no longer had a system that allows for it to be redeemed. They reluctantly provided a $5 discount, stating that he was NOT supposed to do it. Food was ok but service was also very slow. Will not be back.
