Capital Prime, an award-winning steakhouse and seafood restaurant in Lansing, Michigan, features hand-cut USDA Prime and Certified Angus Beef. Aged a minimum of 21 days, all steaks are prepared with our special blend of house seasonings and broiled at 1800°. You will not find a better steak anywhere.

Our seafood is chosen for freshness and flavor and prepared by our certified chefs to be delicious, perfectly prepared and presented.

Capital Prime shops locally. Our dishes are prepared with the finest Michigan ingredients, handpicked daily by our trained chefs. Capital Prime is proud to cater to gluten-free and vegetarian diets with a wide selection of choices.

The staff was friend and kind to us on our 21st anniversary. The food was prepared perfectly and the zip sauce for our steak was mouth watering.

We had excellent service. We were offered a complimentary champagne for our anniversary. The wine list was well done. Absolutely loved our steaks. They were so tender and well seasoned. We will be back.

Can really only afford to come here once a year but we look forward to it months in advance! The food is always amazing!

We sat in the bar area, the young man who waited on us was wonderful! He was telling us how he had just gotten married and what a wonderful day it was for him. He was wonderful! He was very familiar with your menu and had great info on your food. I didn't get his name unfortunately, however, he deserves to be acknowledged as he did a phenomenal job. My friend and I enjoyed his company.

Overall our experience was okay and we felt that the restaurant has a lot of potential for a nice fine dining experience. However, the staff appear to need more lessons in fine dining. Our wine glasses were never topped off and the staff seemed confused to who took our order. Dusty’s Cellar does a much better job of a providing a fine dining experience. Our food wasn’t great, vegetables were burnt and desert was a mix of wrong flavors. All said and done, the price does not match the service or food quality. Maybe they are missing a professional chef?

Outstanding and interesting menu choices. I had the petit filet, which comes with the best whipped potatoes around and perfectly seasoned mixed veggies. My wife had the duck which was served on a bed of sweet potato with a side of very tasty endive accented by a fruity sauce. She also had a dirty martini which she described as the best she'd ever had, made with gin, blue cheese stuffed olives, and extra "dirty." We shared a side of spicy fried Brussel sprouts -- not to be missed! Very attentive service without being overdone. Capital Prime is expensive, so we save our visits for special times, but it is totally worth it.
