Capital Prime, an award-winning steakhouse and seafood restaurant in Lansing, Michigan, features hand-cut USDA Prime and Certified Angus Beef. Aged a minimum of 21 days, all steaks are prepared with our special blend of house seasonings and broiled at 1800°. You will not find a better steak anywhere.

Our seafood is chosen for freshness and flavor and prepared by our certified chefs to be delicious, perfectly prepared and presented.

Capital Prime shops locally. Our dishes are prepared with the finest Michigan ingredients, handpicked daily by our trained chefs. Capital Prime is proud to cater to gluten-free and vegetarian diets with a wide selection of choices.

    We waited an hour for a wedge salad. 30 minutes later the burned crab cake arrived with the filet- blue cheese topping solidified to the steak after too much time in the warming window, with cold limp fries. Ordered a drink, never received it. Left completely disappointed. Ambivalent staff. Second visit, no repeat performance will happen.

    Our dinner was amazing and our server Toby was one of the best that we ever had. Thank you Toby for making our dining experience a memorable one, Gary & Kathy.

    missing sides, steak not even close to correct temperature, brought it back to kitchen, tossed on grill, tried to heat it up, everyone knows that does not work with a steak that has already rested.

    Will never go back. The Kids menu does not infer that kids are welcome, we left before even opening menus because of how we were treated by the waiter and someone who looked like a poorly dressed manager. Landlocked steak and seafood houses are a dime a dozen, I would never pay hundreds of dollars for a meal after how we were treated.

    Food was good but not as well as in the past. It could have been what I ordered but my son ordered the salmon and it was not the same as before. Service was ok, but a bit on the slower side. We were asked if we wanted bread, but it didn't show up until our entree's we served. We had appetizers first.

    Apparently, there was a large party at the restaurant which slowed down food service significantly.

    Nice looking restaurant, ambience was lovely. Bread that was served to the table was DELICIOUS but portion was skimpy. French onion soup was very good. The medium rare filet that was ordered came out almost well done- barely any pink visible. My son would not let me say anything, after dinner we ordered cappuccinos and they were like warm at best. The server (blonde) hair in pony tail was not overly friendly but not unfriendly enough or rude to lodge a complaint. Just meh.. He just did not add to making it a positive experience.
