Start the meal off with a serving of hickory-smoked salmon in a dill mayo sauce, Southern style green tomatoes, or the best calamari in the city. Capers offers a diverse menu including mouth watering pastas, Hawaiian ribeye, apricot glazed New Zealand lamb, Mississippi catfish, Herb crusted grouper, Georgia mountain trout, and daily specials.

The food is always excellent. The Hawaiian Ribeye is my favorite (so far). Our server, Jesse, was incredible.

While not surprised, our first experience was delightful. The food was very good, a diverse menu, a special on Valentine’s Day.

Went for Valentines Day, Both got the seafood trio and crab fingers for an appetizer. Food never disappoints when ever we eat there.

Capers on Main doesn’t look like much on the outside. To be honest, my wife and I were wondering if we had made a mistake as we pulled up but the parking lot was full and capers had come recommended. We got in and the dining room was about 80% full with a mix of couples and girl groups doing “gallentine”. Shortly after we were seated the piano man started playing in the lounge which is comfy with a nice fireplace. We got our drinks and here is where I knew we were in for a good experience. I ordered a martini with a twist. Most bartenders will be lazy and toss in a wedge, never mind that the wedge overpowers the martini and I drink too shelf but this bartender gave me to twist and even had a cool presentation for it skewered on a toothpick. My wife had a special martini from the house specialty menu. She ordered the blackened pasta and I had the crab cakes. Both were good, the crab cakes had a fruit sauce that was light and sweet, not overpowering and the crab cakes were mostly crab, almost no filler. The blackened pasta was decent. It’s a good choice if you don’t want to be overpowered with seasoning. For desert we had the crème brûlée. It was enough for 2 with a few bites left over. All in all we spent a hundred bucks plus tip and felt we got out money’s worth. Our waitress was very nice and had a great balance for not hovering but also not letting us linger with needs not fulfilled. Service very good.

First timers from Powder Springs: Ordered Crab and Corn Chowder, House Salad, Grouper, BBQ Salmon (hint: order w extra sauce) Corn casserole, Wasabi Mashed Potatoes, Brussels, Creamed Spinach. Plenty (ordering full portion) for another full meal the next day. Every item was spot on and well executed. Cheesecake was real good. Friendly, attentive wait staff. Definitely make reservations to avoid a wait. We’ll definitely be back.

Consistently delicious. Enjoyed the great food, with the great ambiance and service. Loved the Herb crusted grouper, the lightly crusted & tender Parmesan Chicken, and each of our vegetable choices! Reasonable prices. We’ll be back!
