The good review first: Friendly staff, restaurant has lots of character and much nicer than the Bellevue location which has gone pretty casual. The Food: Insalada was just lettuce leaves with a light dressing…nothing else just a plate of lettuce. Entrees-salmon for $38 featured maybe 3 oz of salmon 4 asparagus spears. When we asked the server if this tiny piece of fish was normal she immediately asked the kitchen for another. Now we had 2 tiny pieces of salmon but the 2nd one was most likely 4oz. No exaggeration here! Taste was average. Short ribs…well, it was a short rib (singular)…on top of grits. Again, child portion but I wasn’t exceptionally hungry so I didn’t mention it. The taste was bland at best. All I want from a restaurant (price is not a factor here) but I want it to taste better than my own cooking. I’m not a bad cook but I do expect a restaurant serving $30-$50 entrees to taste like they’ve been cooked by a professional cook!

Loved EVERYTHING!!!! Delicious food, loved the insalata misty ( mixed salad) amazing dressing…I would love the recipe. The Ricotta Ravioli is superb. I felt I was in Rome. Perfect taste of Italy. The focaccia bread was amazing…..so soft and great flavor. ( though a bit of balsamic, and salt pepper and spices in the olive oil would be even more delicious). Service was excellent, and the ambiance was beautiful….wood, soft lighting, and candles. The only negative was it was a bit noisy so difficult to have conversation. Maybe a designer could suggest additions to cure that, like soft tapestries…..plants…..but overall, it was 10/10. ❤️

We were warmly welcomed, quickly seated at our favorite table, and treated to some of the best food in Seattle. Everything from the festive drinks to the sumptuous desserts was great. Well done Cantinetta team :)

Great place that was clean, bright and had a local feel. Food was great and not over priced. Will go back.

Another nice experience at Cantinetta! The hostess is the best, friendly, and always checking to see that things are going well! Their chilled English pea soup is the best! Our pasta dishes were also very good! Service was a little slow this evening but the beautiful atmosphere as it got darker outside and the wonderful lighting instead made the wait ok!
