    The chicken is succulent (we always have it ) plus one pasta (cream, lemon and asparagus was our choice for the mains...delicious. Treat! They had smelts on the menu as a starter that evening (we normally get the calamar which is also very good). They had an incredible dessert: chocolate, mascarpone and cherries. It was the best dessert I ever tasted! Don't know why they no longer have it? We therefore had the pana cotta which was quite good but still didn't compare with the one above. Actually came back many times to this restaurant hoping that the incredible dessert would be back by popular demand. Special thanks to Maggie who was kind enough to find place for our extra two guests (initially our reservation was for 2 only). Our guests which we had not seen for years discovered your restaurant and loved it. Thanks again Maggie for making it happen! Loved the table you organized for us last minute. You're a great ambassador for Cantina Gia!

    Lovely service, beautiful ambiance. Food was also very good. I would have preferred the pancetta to be crispy on my Benedict, but everything else - salad, stellar roasted potatoes and the sauce was perfect. Staff were super-friendly, and very accommodating and overall, we loved it and would definitely come back! Thanks again!

    We had a good experience but my partners aglio e olio looked like it was in a butter soup. Not what we were expecting. The vibe is nice and the staff were very friendly!

    We came in on Sunday at 1 PM. On Sundays, we were told only the Brunch menu is available until 3 PM. Nevertheless the offerings were delicious and good portions for the price.

    We were a party of three attending for a friend's birthday. The appetizer (calamari) was fresh, lightly breaded, and not at all greasy so overall, delicious. The initial round of cocktails too were well made. Our main courses, however, were very disappointing- two of us had pasta carbonara- the pasta was VERY undercooked/bordering on raw (and yes, I know al dente, and this was NOT). The sauce was excessive and the huge pile of cheese on top of the pasta was un-necessary and did not add any value to the meal. We barely touched ours and left most of it on the plate. My other friend's red pasta with sauce was extremely salty and unappetizing as well- she ate the pasta and left most of the sauce because she was very hungry, but did not enjoy it. The server noted our concern and removed two of the three pasta meals from our bill. The service was hit or miss as well. We ordered our appetizer and sat with it (and our menus) for some time before she returned to take our main order. After our main dish, she returned with dessert (which we did not order, but appreciated the consideration) but left without providing spoons to eat it with (!) and we had to aggressively flag down another server to get utensils. I would expect if serving a table a poorly received meal, that some additional effort might be paid to engage with the patrons. This did not appear to be the case. I think the overall experience could be much better- with a small menu, the expectation is that your dishes are well prepared and on point. I'm sad to say we won't be returning.

    I was on a date last night around 8:30, we were sat early. I was terribly unimpressed with the service. At every stage of service I had to get a servers attention. I had to ask to order drinks, I had to ask to order appetizers, I had to ask for someone to take our order. My date ordered a Negroni and it was clearly forgotten (was nicely comped however), when it did arrive. My date's food was clearly untouched, and no touch point was done to see if it was ok. Our table was cleared and I had to ask for the bill. I was a server for a number of years, and last night I felt I was serving myself. This was my 3rd visit, and the worst of the 3. I won't be back.

    Excellent food and atmosphere! Heard a lot about the Negroni on tap but it was a let down. The drink was watered down and the cup it was served in was a small plastic cup.
