For parties of 8 or more, we offer a Large Party Prix Fixe menu: a multi-course, family-style experience which features dishes from our seasonal menu, and is the best way to dine at Canon with a larger group. This menu is priced at $72 per person (not including gratuity, tax, dessert or beverages) and the entire party must be included. I felt very well taken care of and the wait staff and hosts were very attentive and we never had to wait for anything for long. An excellent meal and night out for sure.

Canon is a special place for my partner and me. It’s our favorite restaurant in Sacramento, and we always go for special occasions. If we weren’t trying to be better about cooking at home more, we’d be here every week!

The Fall Wine Tasting Dinner was a perfect palate to showcase Canon’s talents—- excellent food, brilliant wine pairing, attentive service, in a welcoming and comfortable setting. Can’t wait for the next one.

So we were super excited to give Canon a try. The ambiance and service was great. The problem was the food which is disappointing. There was no cohesiveness of theme to the menu. Started with the oysters with were fine on their own but they came with some sauces that just added to the saltiness. Got the pickles which quite frankly were over pickled not crisp at all, one vegetable was way too hard to chew. The tuna sashimi was good but bland. Moved to the chicken drumsticks seemed very over seasoned with mole and nothing else. The entree we split a steak med rare which was salty in parts and bland in others. The drinks were great sad because we go to Franquette a sister restaurant at least once a week. Canon leaves a lot to be desired

This restaurant had been on my list for quite some time. My friends and I finally landed on Canon to celebrate our birthdays and am really glad we did. Both inside and outside are great options, and I was somewhat nervous about the outside due to it being late October, but it's more indoors than out- temperature was not a concern at all. There is a relatively small menu, but the offerings are meant to share. Smartly, the waitress recommended doing several small things and one platter for 3 of us. We ordered 3 small plates and a main, and ended up ordering a 4th smaller plate as we were still a bit hungry. The food was all very unique looking and tasting, and pride of execution showed. I was expecting a much larger bill, but it turns out just doing one main and several smaller plates was also a great way to keep costs under control as well, well done! I look forward to tying Canon when they have other seasonal menus to try!

My wife and I visited my daughter at UC Davis, and went to Canon for dinner. The food was great — we had pickles, tuna, cabbage salad, Iberia pork and strip steak. All of us loved our pork particularly. The miso sauce and the very well cooked, tender pork went perfectly well. The temperature of NY strip steak was also perfect. We are impressed by the Asian kicks in the food. They way the used Asian elements redifned these seasonings used in the food and not pretentious at all. We will definitely revisit.
