Superlative food, service and ambience. Amazing bread, green beans, gyoza, garlic rice - we come once or twice a year for a special occasion and never ever fails to be amazing

You cannot beat the beautiful setting of this restaurant, practically on the beach. At sunset, with the palm trees and a nice breeze, it's just a wonderful place to sit and have a nice meal. We went for a special occasion. We arrived early and visited the bar. The friendly bartender made us an off-the-menu mocktail with blackberries that was absolutely delicious. When our table was ready, we were delighted with its location. Our server was warm and cheerful. We ordered the special fish of the day: a whole snapper prepared Thai style (deep friend and served with a coconut lime sauce). The banana chocolate mousse dessert was fantastic. The restaurant also treated us to a second dessert, a lovely guava chiffon cake, with a happy anniversary chocolate sign. I'm afraid I had to dock a couple of stars for the service and the value due to the fact that the waiter didn't let us know that the special fish cost $180. To be sure, it was our responsibility to ask the price and it's easy to imagine that he simply forgot to mention the price or perhaps was even instructed by management NOT to say the price of the specials. Even so, when an entree is described as something that is "enough for two people and probably too much for one person", when it is not even a rare fish, and when the preparation and service isn't particularly complicated, I just don't think the average diner would expect the price for snapper to be more than 3x the price of typical entrees on the menu. Getting that surprise on the bill was a very unfortunate ending to an otherwise highly enjoyable evening.

One of the best experience I’ve ever had the scenery. The view was awesome people extremely friendly service was awesome. Food was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Excellent dining experience! Beautiful location. Service is great, Ian was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The oysters are fantastic! We had lobster, catch of the day and both were delicious.

While most of the reviews were positive, we had read some reviews that gave us cause for concern. So glad we chose to go. The hotel you walk through and the restaurant itself, are both absolutely beautiful. Hawaiian elegance. We were seated at a front row table to the ocean view and exceptionally manicured property. The food was amazing. We had a poke sashimi appetizer that was fantastic. For dinner we each had the macadamia crusted sea bass. It was the best fish preparation we’ve had at the end of our 12 day vacation. We finished it off with a chocolate and macadamia dessert that was as sinful as it was delicious. This an absolute must for a special dinner.

Beautiful setting…great staff…excellent wine and cocktails…most of our dishes were delectable…slightly disappointed with the curry dish

Granted, we had a large group, however, two hours for dinner with three small children in the group is not acceptable. The service was incredibly slow. I spoke to the waiter about it and he stated they were very busy and it seems the problem was coming from the kitchen. Dishes were not brought that were ordered. We didn’t enjoy the fish, particularly the mahi-mahi as we should have. It was dry and tasteless. The poke inspired sashimi was very good. Folks who ordered the steak seem to enjoy it. Overall, it was an agonizing long two hours, especially with two one year-olds and a six-year-old in tow.
