The Cannery Kitchen & Social celebrates Canada's vibrant history and roots on the East Coast. This celebration is influenced by a time when the industry's canning of fish had boomed and the Saint John River was frequently navigated as a channel for exports. Canneries provided a significant source of income for locals while also attracting a global workforce.

With a nod to a slower pace of life, we welcome guests to relax and enjoy food and drinks in our Canadian restaurants.

                                                                      First, I went there by myself on my birthday on July 3. Next, a friend and I went to enjoy our last lunch together before she moves to Ottawa. Both times I found the place very comfortable with great interior design. It was fun sitting in the window where we could see The Commons with various activities going on. Both Servers were very relaxed and polite. I'm looking forward to going again with another friend.

                                                                      The food and server were excellent. As a hotel restaurant it’s very nice. The room was freezing however. I wore my coat most of the time.

                                                                      We have attended the mothers day brunch two years in a row now. It's a little pricey if your just having eggs and breads but we eat everything but! The price is good for what we eat. Salmon,salad and seafood.

                                                                      Food service was extremely slow (15 minutes to get a drink and an hour to get an order of fish & chips and a chicken sandwich). Service however was polite and friendly and apologetic for the delay. Restaurant had a very limited wine selection. No rose, no pinot noir or other light red. Bathrooms were dirty as well. Nice views though!

                                                                      We have dined here twice before but in the evening and been very pleased. This time it was a business meeting at 12.30. and we were disappointed. I hadn't even sat down when the waiter came for a drinks order. Then when we did order my tea was lukewarm. The food was a long time coming, more than 45 minutes after we arrived but was of good quality and well presented. Thereafter we never saw the waiter again and were left with dirty plates in front of us for an extraordinary length of time, until we hailed a different waiter who gave us much better service.
