Looks much more enticing on social media, no ambiance at lunch time, Cuban sandwich is pre-made, (morning of) but you can’t make modifications so we chose not to eat and leave. Overall, disappointing.

We had dinner here this past Tuesday night. We arrived earlier than our reservation and were seated immediately which was really nice. They had approximately 2 tables aside from us while we were dining - so it was pretty dead inside. We ordered the queso followed by the steak tacos - and then the chorizo empanadas and the spinach artichoke empanadas. We were surprised at how small most of the portions were - to which our server later said was due to the “tapas” nature of the menu. This was our first tapas experience so we didn’t realize how to order appropriately. The spinach and artichoke empanadas were served steamy hot on the outside - but still borderline frozen on the inside. I realized this as I made it to the center of my first empanada. I brought this up to the server and they sent me a second order - which again - came out cold/frozen in the center. We showed this to the server a second time - and she offered to take them off of our bill. Then while waiting for dessert and the check - another server tripped and kicked the back of my chair so hard - which frightened me - and when I turned around to apologize he was already across the restaurant without acknowledging that anything had happened at all. Again - the restaurant was still dead at the point where we are waiting for the bill - which we received with the artichoke empanadas still on. We waited for this error to be fixed, and the bill was dropped off after this with a brief dismissal from the server. We weren’t expecting much, but we didn’t hear from the manager on duty or the person in charge of the kitchen as we were leaving. It felt like as soon as our server realized in the beginning that we weren’t having alcoholic beverages - our table and experience were no longer important. The server was nice, but the service was terrible. This was our first and last time as patrons here.

Our first time at Cane and Barrel. Table service was excellent, food was good, and overall a decent experience. Bar service was VERY bad but I think that was more the bartender than the restaurant. The duty manager was very kind about it all. Note to the kitchen. My wife ordered the Prosciutto Eggs Benedict. The prosciutto was sliced a little too thick which made it very difficult to cut. But she liked the flavors. We plan to try it again.

Worst service ever. The Service was so bad It started with the hostess who was so annoyed that we were there for a reservation. And rolled her eyes at us. Our server came to our table twice the entire time we were there. He also was rude and very annoyed we were there. When he asked for our food order, he just said “food?” We had to ask random servers for our bill. It just seemed like every employee working there was annoyed by people or just in general to be working. Would never go back again. It’s a shame because the place is really cool and has potential.

They order my food wrong. Then my steak was over cooked, asked for medium rare. They redid the steak but I had to wait another 20 minutes and my husband already finished his meal. Don’t recommend! They were kind enough to bring us a complimentary dessert but it was our anniversary!

Place looks great, but it was pretty loud even if it was very busy or crowded inside. What really put a sour taste in our mouth was that it took 20 minutes to get our drinks that weren’t very impressive. Food was good; tacos were definitely the best but the empanadas were a miss.

We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time and the servers seem stretched thin. Great food just takes over an hour to order and actually get it.

Unfortunately, our visit was affected by bad weather such that we were not able to enjoy the outside “rooftop” area. The menu is solid. Cocktail menu is good. Staff was excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant (pretty typical) experience.
