Our Candelari’s family dishes and recipes reach back several generations. We proudly offer an exceptional selection of authentic Italian dishes, local favorites, and of course our renowned Candelari’s Sausage

Ask almost any native Houstonian about Candelari’s Italian restaurant and pizzeria in Houston, and most likely the first thing you will hear is something about our signature Italian sausage. Given that our restaurant developed almost naturally out of the renowned, Candelari’s Sausage Company, this is no surprise. And while we have grown to become one the most recognizable and best Italian restaurants and pizzerias in Houston, we are very proud of our modest roots.

Always love the ambiance and food but disappointed the deep dish pizza is no longer offered as that was the dinner we were after and it’s not easy to find in Houston.

Lovely restaurant with a patio as well. Family friendly, but also a cute spot for date night. The chicken fettucine alfredo was very good. My aunt ordered the red snapper with lump crab meat and it was AMAZING! The cheesy garlic bread was also very good! The hostess gave a lot a of recommendations' on the menu and our waitress was very sweet and provided great service. We drive all the way from Sugar Land so you know we love it! :) Mitch Jacobs is great and plays during Sunday Brunch...would definitely recommend!

Met someone for sort of a first date. She wanted pizza and it was delicious. The server was very attentive.

Went for Houston restaurant week, but will definitely be back again. Food was delicious. I had crab meat tortellini. It was delicious , especially the sauce . Had pistachio and double chocolate chip gelato for dessert. Yum! I was told their gelato, pastas , and most of their sauces are all made in house. service was friendly and attentive. Prices were good. Everyone in our party decided we want to come back again.

We have been going to Candelari’s for many years and always enjoy the food, and entire experience. Their recent upgrade in environment, i.e., table cloths, flowers, reservations, only make the experience better!

We took advantage of the HRW dinner menu - we started with the caesar salad (+ anchovies - a ‘must’!) and the king’s sausage ( both were tasty), then had the salmon (absolutely superb!) and the chicken parm (really good.) We ended with the olive oil cake (okay) and the chocolate gelato. Our server, William S., was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. All-in-all, a very pleasant evening. We will return.

Candelari's gives an upscale impression for a neighborhood restaurant. The bar looks really nice and features premium liquor. The servers are professional, attentive and wear tidy uniforms. There are white tablecloths, etc. We really enjoyed our pizza and salads- the food is high quality and nicely presented. Our server was lovely, friendly, patient, and fun.

Hidden gem. Great food and service. The only complaint is that we told the waiter we were sharing our pasta and they didn’t split it or even offer to splendor an extra charge, which we would have gladly paid.

Great food and excellent service. The wine was well priced. We went for an earliy dinner and there were a lot of exuberant children. We expected that due to the time of day (5:30 pm) and the neighborhood. We will go back.
