AFTER COVID 19: We, at Candela, had decided to open earlier and offer some of the most popular Cuban Dishes, Snacks and Sandwiches along with fresh natural juices and of course COLADA and CAFE CON LECHE.     A hidden family restaurant gem close to Wilton Manors. Amazing regional Spanish specialties and very attentive service. Took a while to serve us but indicative of fresh home made cooking. From outside one would not guess that such a nice restaurant would be located in a somewhat isolated strip mall outside of the main busy area so you may not easily stumble on it or venture to try it. Definitely worth repeating. Amazing paella and grilled octopus.

    It was our friends first time. Jose waited on us and was friendly. We had the shrimp appetizer Ange grilled octopus. Both were delicious. We order the Mancini and shrimp over risotto special and the chicken casserole. Both were tasty. Our friends had the paella with seafood and sausage. They enjoyed it. We also had 2 pitchers of white sangria. The food was very tasty and plentiful. My only suggestion is that either the menu indicate what items are gluten free and the wait staff should have a better under of what a gluten free item entails.

    Excellent, tasty meals with great service. The paella was my choice, it was outstanding, with a deep, rich flavor. The tapas, yucca and Pattaya’s bravas were scrumptious, each had its own wonderful sauce. Portions were huge, unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. Next time we will save room for dessert.

    Everything is served perfectly prepared. We love the zarzuela seafood stew and the cod croquettas. The talent of the chef is amazing.
