Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events.

Can Can provides nonstop service morning, noon, and night and looks to give the local neighborhood, businesses, and Richmond visitors, a home away from home, an office away from the office, a place of refuge, or a stage for celebrating with friends.

Worst birthday meal ever. Nice enough server but that doesn’t make up for the lousy meal. They were out of passion fruit purée for a mocktail. Burgers came out overcooked and unseasoned with BURNED buns. Waiter offered to replace the buns, which helped some, but those buns should never have left the kitchen. My friend asked for another cup of garlic aioli (burgers were dry and unseasoned, needed something). The server brought two cups and said they were the last two they had. We later saw on the bill that they charged .50 for each cup - adding this to $21 burgers is just dumb. I finished about 1/2 the burger - if it hadn’t been overcooked and flavorless I would’ve brought it home, but no. We decided to try to redeem my birthday dinner (oh yeah, my birthday was indicated in the reservation but not acknowledged) and we got the Marjolaine. It was so dry the layers broke with the first bite.

Can Can continues to feature excellent food in a cool vibe. On this particular outing, we had salad nicoise and a steak sandwich with frites. The food came fast. I asked for and received bread and butter on the side; I don’t know why I didn’t think that would be standard, but I should have known better. Can Can has a wide selection of bottled Belgian beers and ales. A mean there is a good way to while away an hour or more.

Sunday brunch was lively and service was attentive and friendly. The quiche special was fluffy and will seasoned. The mushroom soup was silky, had depth of flavor and the green oil drizzle was a perfect finish. For Sunday brunch, definitely book early. Very good brunch.

Ambience and service was wonderful, but our muscles and frites were disappointing. The mussels and broth were tasteless and one order was full of sand. It was not charged after it was brought to the attention of the server. The broth has definitely changed in the last year

Went for lunch on our anniversary. Service was excellent; they even handwrote a card for us that was on the table when we arrived. We ordered the steak sandwich and the Duck A L'Orange from the lunch menu. Both were fantastic!

The food used to be excellent but since the new ownership it is less than mediocre. I have eaten there twice now and I am very disappointed. It used to be one of my to-go places but not anymore.

I went to lunch with an old friend and we had a fabulous time. Our server, Daniel, was so professional and a delight! We ordered the raw oysters, mussels and the Niçoise salad. Great mocktails!

Wonderful server for lunch and not busy so it was pretty quiet. Problem I have with the value is a burger costs $20-$21. It is served with frites but seriously… that might much for a burger? Won’t be going back.
