Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events.

Can Can provides nonstop service morning, noon, and night and looks to give the local neighborhood, businesses, and Richmond visitors, a home away from home, an office away from the office, a place of refuge, or a stage for celebrating with friends.

We had a date at Can Can last night. We wanted to see if it had changed since the boathouse people bought it. It didn't. Our excellent waiter told us they make everything in house except butter and other dairy and ketchup. Their bread is fabulous. Husband the delicious French onion soup and I had potato leek soup. We split a salad. It was so enormous that even splitting, it was too much. It was disappointing/ salad with poached pears, blue cheese and dried cranberries and maybe pecans. The cheese and other add ons- not including the pears- were probably no more than a tablespoon for the whole huge salad. We split steak frites. Great steak. It's a beautiful restaurant and really feels French.

We went out to dinner for a birthday celebration! Kayley's service was incredible. Dinner was equally impressive! Steak frites and onion soup gratinee for the win!! Sticky toffee pudding is better than it sounds.

Service was spectacular, best part of the experience for sure. The food was delicious and my group all got to try something new that we all enjoyed greatly. Brunch sandwiches were delicious.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining here and enjoyed an unforgettable meal. We indulged in the Brioche French Toast, Monte Cristo sandwiches, and French Onion Soup—each dish was absolutely lovely and delicious. The French Toast was perfectly fluffy, the Monte Cristo sandwiches balanced savory and sweet flavors to perfection, and the French Onion Soup was rich and flavorful, melting in your mouth with every bite. It’s clear that each dish is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, with a modern twist on traditional brasserie decor. Still, a high point of Richmond dining. We hadn't been in a while and were delighted to discover that "under new management," Can Can is better than ever. Excellent French-inspired menu, quality prep and a welcoming, professional staff. We were pleased to see Lauren captaining the reception desk, and our server, Chelsea, was attentive and cheerful. It's not easy finding a good hollandaise in Richmond, let alone an edible baguette, but Can Can delivers on both counts. Can't wait to return.

I love Can Can. Very French bistro feel. The food is wonderful and a good selection of carb free foods. Very upscale feel without making you feel you need to dress up. Service is always fantastic.

Always loud but important menu and service amenities are not part of the new ownership. A beloved location for over a decade, but have no enterest in returning. Very sad!
