A neighbourhood restaurant on Stoney Street, Borough Market - Camille is a reflection of imagined jaunts through regional France.

The menu from head chef Elliot Hashtroudi celebrates the magic of local and seasonal produce - his simple approach to cooking captures the rustic energy of a regional French table.

An intimate casual bistro-style dining space with small bar and window counter seating is the back drop to our a-la-carte menu and ‘daily specials’ board.

Like in our other restaurants Ducksoup, Little Duck and Emilia you’ll find a weekly changing menu of wines by the glass and bottle from small independent producers.

Very disappointing experiences. When booking chez Camille it seems traditional French cuisine. Unfortunately all traditional classic are interpreted with a twist. I believe they should informed their guests. We were celebrating graduation of my niece and it was not acknowledged. Expensive dining experience which we will not go back for sure. Why don’t you accept Amex when in a middle of borough market with all tourist from around the world ?

Overall a decent experience, good food, pleasant staff but overpriced. We had a bill for £200 for lunch for two people and can get as good for less elsewhere. All that means neither of us are likely to return which is a bit of a shame. Probably sky high rent that’s driving that.

Very impressed with my dinner. Service excellent. Tempting menu. Had some truly excellent dishes (skate schnitzel a particular highlight). Some dishes seemed much better value than others, but overall priced fairly for location and quality. Couple of disappointing drinks. Overall - Camille is underrated based on public reviews.

We went for an easy dinner to Camille ! With a friend of mine and coming from the Industry of Hospitality is really nice to find such a place ! Food was outstanding and everything was delicious !

Incredible seasonal menu with every single dish meticulously thought through from texture to flavour balance and synergy. Hands down the best Oysters I have ever eaten. The beef tartare was paired beautifully with the cheese and the crab toast a perfect 10 of a dish!..to name a few. I’ll be dining there again and would recommend it to everyone.

Loved it! Such delicious food and a very well thought out and unique menu. Fantastic wine selection too! The Quail special was my favourite

Would definitely recommend. The food was amazing with some really interesting dishes that we shared between us. Food arrives as and when it’s ready which we liked and created a relaxed feel. Good wine to accompany. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We sat outside and so there was a good buzz from Borough Market. Looking forward to going back!

The menu was very unusual which may suit some dinners but I found little that I wanted to eat. What there was was delicious but very pricey and lacking in the presentation required to justify the costs.

Food and drink both excellent, if a bit on the expensive side but given the location, I expected this. Steak tartare one of the best I've had in a long time. Servers all very friendly and ambiance was great. Shame that for a French restaurant, there was no Bastille Day acknowledgement, would have been nice to have some sort of special but minor detail. Truly great experience and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Nice little french bistro. Loved some of the dishes. Liked others. Some super pricey (£70 for a pork chop!) Would go again if I happened to be in the area but wouldn't travel across London just to dine here
