We arrived and the restaurant was quiet, so the atmosphere wasn’t great. However the food & the service made up for it.

We enjoyed the food and hospitality so much at Calma the first time we went (when it was torrential rain and they gave us a free round of drinks to stay out and stay dry) that we booked lunch with them again in our trip, reserving sunbeds too. Cannot fault the food or service - the chicken tacos are amazing! Also it is situated on the beach where you can snorkel with turtles and wild sting wrays. Would def recommend!

Saying this is my 4th dining experience at Calma should speak volumes, lol. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, crisp ultramodern surroundings and great beachfront vibe. The food is their ace, always tasty, well presented and filling proportions. I’d highly recommend, big shoutouts to our attendant Jamar who was pleasant and efficient

Terrible acoustics. Screaming children. Average food. I don’t want to be a snob but the crowd at this restaurant were like something out of a U.K. reality show from Essex. But uglier. The burger looked nice. But unfortunately we ordered fish tacos. They were very very very average. Also it’s really not a good look for guests to change nappies on the table and for toddlers to run around naked and screaming. Especially when the bill comes to £100 pounds a head.

Hi William, We're really sorry you didn't enjoy your time at Calma Beach Club. I would just like to mention that the particular family you mention in your review also gave our staff a very hard time, and were repeatedly asked to behave more appropriately for a restaurant. Multiple members of our team tried (and sadly failed) to curb their noise and mess, and they eventually were asked to leave. This is very out of character for guests at Calma Beach Club and we had as hard a time as you did with them. It would be a real shame for you to judge our restaurant based on one unruly family who visited on one day. Hopefully you'll give us another chance soon and see how we normally operate! Food took over an hour to arrive after ordering and was lukewarm at best. Quality of food was below expectations and not a good value for the price. Fish cakes were too salty and well below what we’ve had in other locations. Best part about this restaurant is the location. But food and service were quite disappointing.

Amazing setting and service, a delicious beach lunch and fabulous drinks service to our sun loungers afterwards! Perfect for our 2 daughters (10 and 7) to refresh in the sea until the golden hour. We’ll be back soon!

Decent food. A somewhat sterile atmosphere, couldn’t put my finger on why. We were hot and besieged by flies when the food arrived which made for an unenjoyable meal. Wouldn’t go back
