Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown. In 2022, Callie was acclaimed as one of America's top new restaurants by Esquire and Robb Report, and received both a Bib Gourmand and a Plate from the Michelin Guide. Callie is a dedicated supporter of Feeding San Diego, having contributed over 1 million meals to those in need in San Diego since its launch. Swikard is set to open his second restaurant in La Jolla in 2025.

    Our parking garage is located in the building, but because of the one way streets downtown, the entrance is on 11th Avenue between J St and Island Ave, on the right. The parking garage has a sign '1155 Parking' over top and is through LAZ. For security purposes, the gate will be down when you pull up, you will press the kiosk for a ticket. Once you've parked, take the elevators in the center up to the lobby and be sure to get your ticket validated by a host. Validation is good up to three hours.

    To officially kick off White Truffle Season, we will be hosting an intimate evening of wine with friends on October 26th at 6pm. This exclusive event will be hosted by the talented Giovanna Bagnasco, who, along with her sister Serena, runs the certified organic winery Agricola Brandini, beautifully situated in the hills of Barolo. 5-course family-style dinner includes wines from Agricola Brandini paired with each course. We cannot accommodate dietary restrictions for this menu. Substitutions and modifications cannot be made. All-inclusive price includes menu, wine pairing, tax, and service charge. Spots very limited - 12 seats available.

    Mediterranean Feast - Parties of 7 & 8 For the ultimate dining experience, choose The Mediterranean Feast, a 5-course, family-style menu priced at $75 per guest. This menu, curated by Chef Travis Swikard, provides a full culinary journey from spreads to dessert. While the Feast is required for parties of 7 or 8, it is also available to all guests without advance notice. When booking, please let us know of any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate them. To secure your reservation, a credit card is needed, but no charge will apply unless you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not show up. In those cases, a $10 per guest fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

    All around top restaurant in San Diego for food, service and ambience. Very unpretentious and nice decor makes this a real foodie favorite. Tonite had chicken, lamb and octopus. All were outstanding. One of the best wine lists for those that want great wine without the ridiculous prices. Can always find excellent bottles for less than $75 and glasses for about $15, Highly recommend the chicken and the lamb chops. Have lived in San Diego for 24 years and Callie provides some of the best food we’ve encountered during all that time.

    We did the Mediterranean Feast for 5 people and added the duck special. Everything was AMAZING. And it was more than enough food for all of us. Highly recommend

    From margarita with salt foam to out of this world pavlova the 5 course feast was outstanding. Our waiter was particularly excellent.

    Great experience as usual. The fixed price Mediterranean Feast is the way to go! It’s the height of luxury to not have to decide what to order and to have everything be delicious!

    The food is excellent. We had the Mediterranean Feast with a couple upgrades. Every course was amazing, portioned perfectly for the two of us. The service was excellent. I’m not a big fan of the split tables where you are sitting close to your neighbor. However, the quality and excellence of the food along with the 5 star service makes me forget about that quickly. I’m already planning my next visit.

    Callie always delivers a memorable dining experience! From the minute you walk through the doors of this beautiful space, you know you're in for a treat. Everything was delicious, and I particularly loved the bluefin tuna toast with Burgundy truffles, as well as the summer corn agnolotti. All of the ingredients are well sourced and high quality, brought to their full potential by the talented kitchen team. The wine and beverage program is well curated to complement the cuisine. Our server, Kevin was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgable. I highly recommend Callie and look forward to my next visit!

    We really enjoyed our shared 5 course dinner which provided us the opportunity to try a number of entrees. The service was excellent and the ambiance is very pleasant.

    Everyone and everything was fantastic the dishes were amazing and presentation was fantastic. We will definitely be back soon to try some of the other dishes that we missed out on this time around.

    Interesting, flavorful food that is not just your usual mediterranean options: beets & pomegranate in yogurt sauce, crunchy carrots in cashew cream sauce, spicy Aleppo chicken, etc. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options, lots of cocktail options, and free secured parking in the building with validation from the restaurant. All that said, the restaurant is one large open room and very "energetic"/noisy. Most 4 tops are round tables with diners seated in an arc facing into the room to watch other diners as a show. If the middle diners turn to speak to each other, they have their backs to the other diners at the table and can't be heard. Plates are served cut into portions, intended to make for easy sharing. Prices are reasonable at $36 for entrees and $15 for appetizers and desserts. We shared multiple appetizers and then each chose our own mains. If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered even more appetizers to share, because once you split them 4 ways, you're really just getting one mouthful. Appetizers are on the small side but mains are generous.

    First time visit- Anniversary dinner: Food was Incredible! Uni toast was a standout! And the seasonal Duck and the Egg Yolk Fettuccine specials were both sooo good! Craft Cocktails were also very high quality - the Clarified Margarita with that sea salt foam…Wow! Will definitely be back to try more!
