Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown. In 2022, Callie was acclaimed as one of America's top new restaurants by Esquire and Robb Report, and received both a Bib Gourmand and a Plate from the Michelin Guide. Callie is a dedicated supporter of Feeding San Diego, having contributed over 1 million meals to those in need in San Diego since its launch. Swikard is set to open his second restaurant in La Jolla in 2025.

    Our parking garage is located in the building, but because of the one way streets downtown, the entrance is on 11th Avenue between J St and Island Ave, on the right. The parking garage has a sign '1155 Parking' over top and is through LAZ. For security purposes, the gate will be down when you pull up, you will press the kiosk for a ticket. Once you've parked, take the elevators in the center up to the lobby and be sure to get your ticket validated by a host. Validation is good up to three hours.

    Callie's guest chef series Flavors of the Sun returns with a one night only takeover by Chef Andrew Bachelier of Atelier Manna and Chick & Hawk. Enjoy a night of celebrating seasonal ingredients, '90s skate culture, and a taste of San Diego's most sought after chicken sandwich! This 5 course family style menu is priced at $125 per person with an optional beverage pairing for $55. We are unable to accommodate any dietary restrictions for this limited menu. Tax, 20% service charge, and 4% surcharge will be added to all checks. All reservations require a $25 per person deposit which will be credited towards bill night of, as well as 48 hour notice prior to cancellation in order to receive a refund on deposits.

    To officially kick off White Truffle Season, we will be hosting an intimate evening of wine with friends on October 26th at 6pm. This exclusive event will be hosted by the talented Giovanna Bagnasco, who, along with her sister Serena, runs the certified organic winery Agricola Brandini, beautifully situated in the hills of Barolo. 5-course family-style dinner includes wines from Agricola Brandini paired with each course. We cannot accommodate dietary restrictions for this menu. Substitutions and modifications cannot be made. All-inclusive price includes menu, wine pairing, tax, and service charge. Spots very limited - 12 seats available.

    Mediterranean Feast - Parties of 7 & 8 For the ultimate dining experience, choose The Mediterranean Feast, a 5-course, family-style menu priced at $75 per guest. This menu, curated by Chef Travis Swikard, provides a full culinary journey from spreads to dessert. While the Feast is required for parties of 7 or 8, it is also available to all guests without advance notice. When booking, please let us know of any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate them. To secure your reservation, a credit card is needed, but no charge will apply unless you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or do not show up. In those cases, a $10 per guest fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

    Food is great and service, ambiance and restaurant decor are very nice. All was fine until the end when we felt a little rushed due to the bill being brought when we were in the middle of dessert. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Also there is a 4% surcharge on everything ordered and then a 20% auto tip/service fee. Seems a little unfair to charge the 20% auto tip not only on the food but also on the 4%. Free parking but a little hard to find and get into the garage the first time. Free EV charging

    Food and service was absolutely amazing. Greeted by hostess Serenity and she was very kind and welcoming. Our server was also fantastic and the kitchen sent our table some delectable complimentary dishes that I will be back to enjoy. I0/10 highly recommend

    Possibly the friendliest & most efficient server of all time. Food and ambience was terrific. Front of house was a bit frosty but it didn’t impact our overall experience. Will def. be back.

    I chose this restaurant as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. We went for the 5-course menu with wine pairing, and everything was just excellent. The dishes were beautifully crafted, and the servers were attentive, explaining each course in detail. I highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience!

    What a Great place for a special meal. Our favorites were the Japanese Kampachi and the lemon saffron linguini. We will be back!

    Everything was delicious. The Aleppo Chicken is not to be missed: you will never taste anything more enticing. For a restaurant that encourages sharing the dishes are quite small and quite expensive. But when the food is this good, who cares?

    Never disappoints. We have gone many times now and the food is always perfect and delicious. The experience from beginning to end is executed with such a high level of attention to detail. You feel well taken care of by all the staff. Great cocktails and wine selections help elevate the entire experience to a wonderful evening out.
