You can also enjoy these panoramic views from our wrap-around deck, complete with a bar and easily accessible by boat. Whether you're craving low country favorites or our famous prime rib, California Dreaming is a favorite among both locals and tourists.

**Please note that we provide Advance Priority Seating to reduce wait times and expedite the seating process when your entire party arrives. To ensure the best experience for all guests, we seat groups of up to 6. While larger groups are seated separately, this arrangement is flexible during quieter hours.

We enjoyed the salads, croissants, marinated sirloins, baked potatoes, and of course the views. Our server was attentive and took good care of us.

Our server, Austin, was great! With it being such a large place, it took a little time for drinks, ketchup, etc. but to be expected and we had plenty of time. Food was great, but I wish there were different sizes for the Caesar salad. Some salads seemed entrée-sized while the Caesar was smaller. Normally I wouldn't have minded but since we were traveling that day and hadn't eaten and wouldn't be for the rest o the day, I wished it was larger or I'd have ordered the salad my mother got. overall, good experience.

Reservation was at 7:30pm upon opening the door we were greeted by a line that barley allowed room for four more feet. After waiting about 3 minutes and seeing other hungry out of towners sit on a octagon shaped bench we were told that it would be an additional 30 minute wait.. we specifically came to this location to watch the sun set on the water, while enjoying dinner. Due to the 30 minute wait we ended up watching the sunset a bench in front of the restaurant. At 8pm we went back inside and was told we had 3 more guests in front us by this time we were stuck .. all other restaurants were booked .. believe me I looked .. we got a message @815 via open table that our table was ready . Once inside we had to wait in the same line we waiting in twice before this time we finally made it thru yay ! We proceeded to walk around the restaurant and was giving an inside table that’s right folks .. barely a window view . We saw two tables that were open by the window the hostess at first was hesitant but after double checking we were giving the long awaited table . From there everything was delightful surf and turf was cooked perfect loaded potatoes seafood pasta ! Soo soo good and our waitress was very attentive and recommend the croissant rolls which were light and fluffy. My husband is not an oyster fan but enjoyed the Rockefeller oysters 🦪 over all I give 3 because of the 45 minute additional wait and still being offered a seat with no view . But once we overcame those issues the food and waitress was a 4

IWe made our reservation for 7:15pm for our date night dinner & even arrived 10 minutes early and checked in. We went to the bar to grab a drink while we patiently waited for our table, allowing an extra 15-20 mins in case they were running behind with reservations. Well, 30 mins later, I checked back in with the hostess to ask her about our table & she apologizes friendly & tells me they're running behind. I'm told they will text me when our table is ready. We grab another drink at the bar & yet Another 20 minutes goes by without any text/acknowledgement from the hostesses. I return to the front & state that we've now been waiting over AN HOUR PAST our reservation for our table. She scrambles on her iPad & finds us a table at the bar, of all places, but after waiting this long, we're starving at this point, & take it. I do not understand why they take reservations when they dont honor them because I believe walk ins were sat before us! We sat down & realize the blonde bartender who made our drinks is now our server & we're happy we could continue giving him our business. He comes by & we order our entire meal around 08:20pm. We're relaxing & sipping on our drink, when we realize it's nearly 9:15pm and our food still hasn't come out yet, no one has checked on us to fill our waters, nothing. The bartender forgot to put our order in. Runners bring out our food & even get us refills of our waters because we haven't seen anyone come to our table. The bartender then comes by without a single apology & barely takes 30 seconds to ask us if we're good and disappears again. We then sat with dirty plates, empty drinks & napkins on our dishes hoping someone would realize we're ready for our check. He must have completely forgotten about us, perhaps because we were sat at the high top table tucked behind a thick pillar where the bartenders couldn't directly put eyes on us. We had to ask 3 separate times for the check & didn't leave until almost 10pm. Date night ruined.

My date and I were very impressed with the quality of food and service at California Dreaming. Despite being seated well after our reservation due to the restaurant's popularity, the staff were extremely pleasant and made us feel as though we were their most important dinner guests. The view of Charleston Harbor was spectacular, the food was delicious, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was very busy but views are very nice. The wait staff is really nice. Just overworked. The food pretty good. Although some of the vegetables were soggy. Like the Cesar salad and Cole slaw. But everything was good. Would recommend.

The food quality is very poor. The croissants are absolutely delicious. Everything else is not. The mahi was overcooked and under-seasoned, definitely not blackened. The tuna was over cooked and low quality. I couldn't believe how disappointing the meal was. We laughed about it, and couldn't believe this place stays so busy.

We have been to a lot of Charleston and surrounding Restaurants and this is in the top 2 of Our favorites. When you make a reservation and they are on a 1-2 hour wait you will be seated within 10 minutes! The best! Atmosphere and food are the best. Great place

Work meeting, since California Dreaming has open ceiling noise, is loud but still workable as a meeting place, not exactly a restaurant I would want to be romantic at, a bit too loud.

The view was the only positive aspect. They passed over us on my reservation through open table and sat many people before us. Bathrooms were nasty. I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms in some gas stations. Food was marginal. Ordered dessert with I cream and I swear they microwaved the ice cream and it came out in a puddle of cream. My recommendation is find another place to eat
