Since 1987, California Dreaming has been a proud part of the Charleston, SC community. Our spacious, open setting features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of the Ashley River, creating the perfect backdrop for a lively night out. You can also enjoy these panoramic views from our wrap-around deck, complete with a bar and easily accessible by boat. Whether you're craving low country favorites or our famous prime rib, California Dreaming is a favorite among both locals and tourists.

**Please note that we provide Advance Priority Seating to reduce wait times and expedite the seating process when your entire party arrives. To ensure the best experience for all guests, we seat groups of up to 6. While larger groups are seated separately, this arrangement is flexible during quieter hours.

This was our first time eating at California Dreaming and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the view was amazing

When you first approach the greeter (Caroline) she immediately welcomes you by your first and last name before you get a chance. What a very nice warm welcome to start your night off. Then requested a window seat and no questions asked, go to the bar order drinks that come fast and then your window seat is ready. Next fast service by a friendly waitress. Atmosphere and food amazing! Would highly recommend this place to anyone! This is why we keep going back.

I made reservations got there 10min early my reservation ask to be seated by the window and was sat by the bar. I also told the host about the reservation she then said I will have to wait for it to be available because it was no where else to sit. The food was cold….I had a great server

Not a bad spot at all, hit all of the marks, the only bad thing I have to say is that my steak was overcooked a bit. Other than that, was a great spot!

Me and my family of 4 had a great night. We was able to be seated 30 minutes earlier than expected! The hosts and the waitress was great!

Really good food and very good concierge service. Everyone was really friendly. I must say that I did not have a good experience a few years ago but this one made up for it.

Awesome Valentines Day dinner. Everything was perfect. Food, service, and view were PERFECT. Wife had filet and crab cake. Daughter had filet. Future son in law had Cajun chicken pasta. I had a ribeye. Everything was delicious and service was excellent!

We love California Dreaming. Food is always good. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. The view is great.

Went for Valentine’s Day. 4:00 reservation. Expected some V Day ambience but there was nothing. No decorations. Madison D was our server. She was incredible!!! So sweet kind and attentive. Personality was A++. We’ve been in Chas for 40 years and CD never disappoints. The food is ALWAYS good.
