Asher was very helpful in explaining menu items and helping us with selections. She was also very attentive throughout our meal. Outstanding service. Great food.

We had a table with a very nice view of Melton Lake. My wife had the Southern salad, and I had the Smokehouse salad. Both were delicious. Our waitress was Olivia W, and she left a lot to be desired, but we still enjoyed our visit. It has been a while since we had visited there, and it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, so a very nice ride up and back. The salads were both delicious, but I think next time I'll try the Southern salad. My wife was kind enough to share her onion rings and they were delicious! The view is amazing at this location, and we saw a couple of speed boats making their way up and down the lake. We highly recommend this restaurant. The service can be a bit hit and miss, but the food is always good, and the views are always nice, even in the winter.

We sat on the patio, so the noise level was not as high as it is inside. It was a beautiful evening and we had an awesome server. She was very efficient, kind and professional. I ordered the special which was a skewer with shrimp and beef over rice. The rice was undercooked, but the skewers were phenomenal. I was treated to a free ice cream sundae to celebrate my birthday. It was a great evening.

This was the first visit to this Calhouns location. We’ve visited the Lenoir City location as well. The lakefront table provided an interesting distraction with rowers and a freight train. The food was excellent and the service attentive. We will return to this restaurant.

We go to this Calhouns every weekend for the prime rib. Our service is always good and last night was no different. Madz was phenomenal. Thank you for your excellent service and attention!! Denise

Food was good, once we got what we ordered. Service was so-so. Several items ordered were either were wrong, cold or forgotten. Server lacked in focus & attention to things.

Good food and service, as usual. The prime rib sandwich was really a decent sized cut of prime rib, sitting on a bun.

I feel like they should have told us it was “buffet only” on this particular day when we made the reservation. The only notice was a sign on the door when we arrived. By then it was too late to go anywhere else. The food was good - it’s always good here, but this was disappointing.
