Calhoun’s Bearden is located at 6515 Kingston Pike, very close to I-40/I-75 (Papermill Road Exit) in West Knoxville. This is the home of our custom-built, steam-heated microbrewery where we handcraft specialty beers to the taste of Tennesseans. The brewery’s copper kettles can easily be seen from most seating in this contemporary atmosphere. Calhoun's has become a place where friends and family gather to celebrate what’s good in their lives while they sample some of Tennessee’s best BBQ, ribs, steak, and sandwiches. We did a 3:45 reservation, requesting bar room seating. When we arrived, we were taken to a booth, in the bar area, with very limited views of the televisions. The area, at that time, was not busy. Many tables were needing to be cleaned. We requested better seating and waited while a table was cleaned. Very strange for this to be a football afternoon Saturday with many people waiting to be seated before heading to the stadium, as we were. Food was good, as usual, but I miss the generous house salad that was served just months ago.

Fast, friendly service. Supposedly known for their ribs, but I did not find them to be anywhere near a top contender. The chicken teriyaki was pretty good! And their biscuits were excellent.

The waitress was amazing. The food was tasty but my salmon was not cooked fully. I didn’t send it back because it was still warm, but the middle was raw. Altogether it was a nice experience for my mom on Mother’s Day

Easy to make a reservation on Open Table Excellent service by London!! Great beer selection: especially liked the red ale Steak was cooked perfectly Everyone enjoyed the Barbecue chicken dishes as well

Elizabeth was our waitress. She was excellent. We had the trio, ale steak, fish and chips and grilled chicken salad. Food was great! Table was ready early. Great Easter meal!
