    On the last evening of a short visit to Calgary, we decided to indulge in the city’s Indian cuisine. Not naan and chicken tikka masala; a full-on Indian feast. The Calcutta Cricket Club, which offers a tasting menu called the “Taste of Calcutta,” was just what we were after! From the first course appetizers to the Chef's Choice dessert, nearly everything was five out of five. The achari paneer was the only item that didn't blow us away, and it wasn't bad; it just had a milder flavor than the other dishes so we felt it fell a little short. Throughout the evening, the service was excellent. A variety of servers, expediters and even the manager would bring the new dishes to our table and clear the empty plates, keep the water filled, and offer to refresh our beverages. As we were getting ready to leave, the manager came by to make sure everything was to our liking, which indeed it was. Obviously, we enjoyed some items more than others but there wasn’t a thing I’d call disappointing. And we thought the price was very reasonable: CAN$55 per person for the meal, plus beverages and tips. With three glasses of wine between the two of us, a gratuity for our server and an additional $10 tip directly to the kitchen, our evening out was about $220. An excellent meal and, for an evening of fine dining, an excellent value. HIGHLY recommended!

    Quick service, friendly waiters, good explanation of what everything was, which dishes were gluten free, amazing tasty food, great garlic naan

    There were 3 of us and we ordered the $55/person menu, OMG, that was so delicious, everything was so good! No complaints at all about the food, or the service, thank you James, you were an amazing server and knew your stuff! We would definitely come back!

    My wife and I got the Calcutta taster, which was the perfect introduction to the cuisine. Would highly recommend!

    Traveling from LA I expected fantastic Indian food at this place. The appetizer’s were great, but the entree’s were average and lukewarm warm and not hot at all. I wish there was more spice in the food. Great Ambiance though.

    Amazing food! So many flavors! We had a bottle of Sula a wine from India, delish! Great service! We loved our experience!

    One meal was Cold food, mussels were not cleaned properly so very Gritty to eat. Manger was very attentive when complained rest of the food was good . Great service staff were attentive and very sociable
