Transport yourself into a magical fairytale and prepare for an unforgettable experience. For our savory menu, we offer a lunch and dinner featuring some traditional dishes as well as our signature quiche and chicken salade. Our menu changes seasonally and everything on our menu is house made from scratch daily with our commitment to the highest quality and ingredients. Our full bar offers signature cocktails, Champagne and beer. Delicious three-layer cakes, as well as cheesecakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts fill our elegantly designed display case and are served daily. Gwendolyn's Cake Bake Shop's have become the destination of Indianapolis for celebrating all life's special occasions.

    This is one of those restaurants that is an experience, not just a meal. The food is pretty good, with the desserts and the pretty drinks being the standouts. However, everything from the decorations, to the reusable bags and monogrammed carry out container, to the children’s coloring papers with freshly sharpened colored pencils in a decorative container, show that this is very immersive and they want you to feel like this is a fairyland. Service is impeccable. Not surprised to hear the new location will be at Disney World, they will fit right in.

    The service is impeccable and they're so aware of making your visit an "experience." The food is good although feels mildly overpriced for what it is, but if you pretend you're at a resort or Disney, it's tolerable, especially for special occasions. I highly recommend installing noise reduction tiles on the ceiling (like in recording studios or music classrooms) - I imagine they come in white - in the outdoor seating area it's virtually all hard surfaces and if you're unlucky enough to be seated there at the same time as a large party you won't be able to hear your dining companion across the table. We were there while a party of 9 celebrated a birthday and when they left, it was like being in a whole different restaurant. Cake Bake is definitely a special event destination, so I'm not begrudging them for celebrating Lydia, (HB, btw) but some noise reduction measures would be amazing. I just looked - there are loads of options on Amazon in white. I noticed a basket of throw blankets discretely tucked in the corner for people who feel chilly out there, so I know they've taken feedback and provided a hospitable solution. This could be similar. All in all, well worth it - we try to visit every season and enjoy it immensely.

    Wonderful experience! Beth was a lovely and attentive waiter! The coffee and cake was delicious and the food was even better! They even decorated the table for my friend and I (celebrating both an engagement and a new baby!)

    It was a bit loud when we sat down. I think it was primarily due to the table of 5 ladies right next to us. Our waitress, Lexie, was great. The restaurant was so pretty inside and out. We all enjoyed our food. We had the 12 layer club with truffle fries, kids ham and cheese sandwich, broccoli soup with mascrapone, choose 2 of the turkey & Gruyère sandwich and the broccoli soup. Our drinks were pixie pop, petunia punch, s’mores mocha and a pot of Carcadet Nuit D’ Ete tea. The tea was perfect and I preferred the petunia punch over the pixie punch. We got a slice of the mint chocolate chip cake, pixie fettie birthday cake, Earl’s court chocolate cake to go. Our daughters were sprinkled with pixie dust. There was an acknowledgment card on the table for my oldest’s daughter’s birthday, which I noted on the reservation.

    Chicken Velvet soup and Gumbo were good. Carrot cake was good but feel the cake slice size has gotten smaller while price has not been adjusted accordingly. If taking a child, which alot do...Cake Bake needs to offer child size utensils for them to eat as the spoon and fork are huge for children.
